I just migrated to Rocket after hearing wonderful things about them. I've migrated many sites over the years. What a painful, inefficient process the migration was. I had to do it twice. Each time was a very different process, which I found strange. One was done via email (I emailed them my current hosting login & took about an hour), and the other was all done via chat (nearly 3 hours of back & forth). I found both ways to be quite inefficient. 5 hours later, I'm getting DMs from people that they cannot email nor purchase on my site. I'm going back to WPX, as I rarely had issues with them. I'm sure it's a great service, and I've read wonderful thing about the owner (Ben). I just had a bad experience, and spent most of my Saturday on chat support trying to migrate over. I imagine my experience was a "needle in a haystack", as I have a few friends who rave about the company, support and service. UPDATE: Ben (the owner) reached out personally and apologized. He explained what had happened (in terms I can understand), and it seems a lot of it was with my other hosting company. His email was sincere and appreciated.

Hi Adam, I'm sorry you had such a bad experience on a holiday weekend. The issue with your migration was 100% related to using Hostinger DNS starting with the delay in the DNS propagating to Rocket.net, which is why you had such frustration. I looked over your chat history, and the final straw was that you canceled your hostinger account (after Andre said to double check with Hostinger that canceling this would not cause any issues), which then took down your DNS (website and email) and brought you to Rocket.net chat. Our team immediately discovered this and helped you by logging in to namecheap manually for you to not only fix your website, but also fixed your google MX records. Migrations are never easy, and our team does their very best, but in the end, this issue was completely unrelated to Rocket.net and related to Hostinger DNS taking a very long time to propagate, along with completely deleting your DNS, which killed your email as well. In the future, its best to plan migrations off hours if not using a DNS provider like Cloudflare that has instant updates on DNS changes.
