When its beneficial for them, you are praised. When you can't land the job, you are banished.
Greetings to you. As a contingent laborer, I want to start off by saying that Robert Half has some foundational positive attributes. Not all instances are bad. It appears to me that when there seems to be a 'golden ticket', you can't be showered enough. If anything, I mean anything dims that light, we will feel it's consequence. I am very disappointed in being the recipient of unanticipated scenarios. I am a very dedicated worker. I have built-in processes to where I will make sure that I respect the opportunity presented to me, and if afforded the job, I will represent, no matter if it is short-term or long-term. I will be at the job-site many times before the regular staff is there. I have worked through breaks, just to show my agility and flexibility, based on coming from an exempt role, and the expectations of being salaried. It is unfortunate that when an opportunity presents itself that the Recruiter is on fire more than you, and I will mention, will try to give pointers and mock interviews. In my experience with this last potential opportunity, the posting did not reflect the interview questions. I went solely off of being told that this position will focus more so on employee relations. Although HRIS software was mentioned, there was no particular system mentioned. When I was interviewed, I was asked about codes in SAPHR that I have not touched in over 15 years. Had this system been referenced, I could have easily re-acquainted myself to be exceptionally prepared. The interview seemed like sabotage at its best. I will accept being thrown off, basing my experience on what was shared by the recruiter. What I won't accept is feeling like I disappointed my parents when I was not equipped to put my best foot forward. I have reached out with concerns about my, then supervisor, who exhibited behaviors that were disheartening, with no immediate follow-up from the Account Manager. I have texted and called. I have yet to receive a response or any feedback. So, one is left to feel like since the interview didn't show favorable for their metrics, they have nothing for you. And, you are a non-factor to them. I will pick up the pieces and look for employment, myself. I do not appreciate the experience when things don't go as planned. It's as if they are not true to being there for you when you don't land the job. The true test of being genuine is when things don't go as planned and the same level of commitment is still there. I would hope that more training is offered for these Account Managers.
