I had a random women friend me and start with hi mate but intermittent messages of one words prior to this. When I made it clear you're certainly not my mate she said no worries which is extremely rude and most definitely not a professional or a kiwi. After three times telling Sarah Ross from the Auckland office it's 2130 and FO leave me alone in no uncertain terms, she completely ignored me and said do you want a job. No repport built at all and profanity in response from Sarah Ross. Totally unprofessional and lack of accountability.

Senior Support Specialist at Robert Half Interviewed Apr 2025 in Cardiff, Wales "On applying for an Internal Role within Robert Half based at the Cardiff Office, I was asked to attend an interview and the full names and email addresses of all candidates applying for the same role were emailed to my email address. A Serious breach of GDPR regulations by a Senior Business Manager of Strategic accounts. On attending a first interview with the Vice President of Strategic Accounts UK he referred to the company as “the big boys/beasts”of the recruitment industry. The interview was extremely uncomfortable with James Fortnam the Market Director of Wales, Ireland, Scotland.A very uncomfortable experience with an individual not meeting the criteria of a Market Director. He took no interview notes, asked no questions relating to the role and didn’t even bring a pen into the interview room. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable. A terrible experience from beginning to end. If this how they recruit internally can you imagine the compliance for external recruitment. "

I was gaslighted by a recruiter from this company, set me up for an interview which i did, but no feedback after that. I don't mind that i did not meet the criteria but as least come back to people... highly unethical..

Steer clear if you care about your digital footprint, they refuse to process deletion requests. Never found any work through them, but when I found another job and wouldn't delete my account out of their systems through their automated tool(which they intentionally make difficult to find, had to be directed their by someone in support, who I might add wasn't even the support agent responsible for those requests as the first agent I spoke with had no idea how to process the request or direct people to their tool beyond a simple 'oh we have to retain your info'.) Spoke to a Mae in support who was excellent, but she only helped me out of courtesy as she wasn't even responsible for the type of requests I submitted. When using this tool it denied my claim to remove my account, citing a loophole of my States law that allowed them to skirt around any reasonable deletion request. When their privacy team got back to me it appears they copy pasted a standard 'no were required to keep your data, you can deny cookies and shut off email if you want, but otherwise go away' email without really addressing anything. I don't have a million dollar legal team or anything, but i intend to lobby my congressman to have this particular loophole closed so they can stop holding my name email and data hostage. Read their terms of service carefully and remember the old saying "If you pay for a service, they provide you with a product. If they provide a service without you haveing to pay, you are the product"

I was approached by “recruitment consultant” from their Reading office (who unfortunately will remain nameless) based on them seeing my CV on another site. He left 3 messages in the space of 10 minutes and an email. There was no job, but he had placed several people with a growing company and thought that my CV would be of interest to them. I was given many details, and a Teams meeting between myself and the MD of the company was set up and took place. So far, so very good. And then nothing. No feedback, no rejection, nothing. This person was all over me like a rash to start with, and then I was dropped like a stone. The only time I spoke to him subsequently was by calling from a different mobile number, as he wouldn’t answer my regular one. These people do not care about the jobseeker. We are commodities. They are detrimental to our mental health. By the look of other reviewers my experience is the norm when dealing with this company. They are a disgrace!

I filled out an application for a KYC Analyst role. That's where my experience is - in Compliance. I indicated in my cover letter that I was disabled and only able to take WFH positions. I was contacted the next day by a recruiter offering me two Collections positions on-site. This was physically impossible for me and not even close to the field I work in, but I appreciated his reaching out, and I responded back "Hi, I'm not interested in these roles, but there are a few other openings on your website I'd love to talk to you about." He ignored that email, and even ignored a voicemail left on his machine that he said I could call. Robert Half is not alone. The default in 2025 is recruiters sending you spam job offerings, or stringing you along through a long and arduous interview process, and then promptly ignoring and ghosting you. Half the time I think I'm getting pranked. This is the rule, not the exception. Recruiters have one job and it seems like very few of them can do it right.

I would strongly advise careful consideration before engaging with Robert Half. My recent experience with one of their recruiters was highly disappointing. Despite recovering from COVID, I was persistently contacted about a role, only to have my time wasted. I had to attend a 30-minute meeting, complete a technical interview, and unnecessarily revise my already well-prepared resume. Despite multiple follow-ups over the past weeks, I have yet to receive an actual interview opportunity. It was only after I sent an SMS that I finally received a phone call, at which point I was informed the recruiter had been out sick. Moreover, upon searching for the advertised role or the supposed company hiring for it, I found no trace of its existence. This appears to be nothing more than a deceptive tactic to meet KPIs and collect candidate data to build their internal database. Experiences like this contribute to the negative reputation of recruitment agencies and the growing reluctance of candidates to engage with them.

If you are a job seeker, don't waste your time with Robert Half. They don't return phone calls, they don't respond to emails. Not matter what or how many job applications, there is no one you can check status with. They don't know what they are doing. Even if you can finally get someone on the phone, the person is reading from a script, with no empathy or passion, no difference from talking to a machine. Absolutely unprofessional and complete waste of time
