My first major use of the 4 gallon model was during a week in Death Valley over Thanksgiving week. I located it above the windshield to maximize solar exposure. Even while driving south in 75° temperatures, the water didn’t get close to being warm. Disappointed.

Great product!! Have had it permanently on my rig since I've bought it (possibly 2-3 months now) One down side is that it does slip off a bit where I have it mounted it (I use the all-pro pack rack on my Tacoma) and have needed to add a layer of rubber padding under the roadshower itself aside from the ones that come on the curved pieces. Also, trying to tighten the bolts became a problem early on. Eventually the screw would no longer grab on the channels and had to use pliers to hold screws in place as I tightened bolts. May need a way to work around this issue. Aside from those problems the product itself worked great and water flowed continuously while pressurized.

The Road Shower was a little difficult to install on my factory rack on my Toyota Forerunner. The screws point down, so they have to be tightened under the shower, I had to go buy a rachet wrench to do it. The valve has to be screwed into the tank so that the faucet end points to the outer side of the car. This required a few tries, which shredded the plumbing tape that was provided with the faucet. Customer service was great and helped me figure out how to get it just right. They also suggested to get better plumbing tape, which I ordered from Amazon. Filling this was also a challenge. I used my garden hose and attached it to the clear RoadShower hose. I went back to the house and turned on the hose. I had no idea how much water was going in. I kept going back to the shower and checking the pressure. But it got too much water and blew the hose off the garden hose at the clamp. I think this requires 2 people to fill - one at the house and one checking the pressure. It was great to have the water at the end of our backpack. We rinsed ourselves and our gear off. The only problem was it was the air temp was 50 degrees when we got out, so the water was not warm. Better luck next time.

Great concept... Received it with a damaged air fitting (which was replaced nicely). First time I tried to tighten the locknuts onto the supplied bolts (with the square heads) the square heads stripped in the slot and would turn inside the slot. I could not slid the bolts back out and I could also not remove the locknuts. I had to cut 2 of the bolts to be able to remove the tube from the roof rack. Still have the cut off bolts stuck in the slot and haven't used the Roadside Shower one time yet.. I do want to try it so I will try to figure some other way to mount it in the future. I know it's a small company and don't want to come down too hard, but maybe this will help with future QC development... Regards, Mitch

Feedback Showerhead sprays everywhere at system connection with recommended installation. Each acquisition had significant delays. Company has inefficient operations. Hose connection to tank required modifications to avoid falling off during fireroad/doubletrack travel.
