Tools are great / Not the Warranty !
Tools are great , but their Canadian Warranty SUCKS ! My Brushless 4-1/2" brushless grinder failed during light stainless polishing with a scotch pad , grinder seized and battery just gave out with 4 bars lit and all it does is Flash .
I followed RIDGIDS instructions for the warranty and my grinder is sitting at the repair shop 2 plus months now and all I'm being told that the parts are in backorder and so is the battery .. But I use that battery on other products I own that are Ridgid . I don't think I will be buying anymore Ridgid products in the near future ..

I’ve 8 Years of Heavy Daily Usebeen using Ridgid tools for the…
I’ve been using Ridgid tools for the past 8 years, and I can confidently say they have exceeded my expectations. These are true workhorses—I use them every single day, and they’ve consistently delivered both reliability and performance.
What really stands out is their durability. After years of regular, often heavy use, they’ve held up exceptionally well without showing the wear and tear you might expect from tools used this often. The batteries have maintained strong life cycles, and the power output remains impressive.
Another major plus is the Lifetime Service Agreement (when purchased through Home Depot). Knowing that both tools and batteries are covered adds extra peace of mind, though honestly, I have rarely needed it because these tools just keep going.
In terms of handling, Ridgid tools strike a great balance—solid and tough, but not overly bulky. They have comfortable grips, intuitive designs, and plenty of torque for demanding jobs. Whether drilling, driving, or using specialty attachments, I’ve rarely run into limitations.
After nearly a decade, I’m still impressed. If you’re looking for tools you can depend on day after day, Ridgid is absolutely worth it. These aren’t just budget-friendly alternatives to the “big name” brands—they’re professional-grade tools that can hold their own in any shop or job site.

I OWNED A 7" GRINDER FOR A YEAR NOW
I OWNED A 7" GRINDER FOR A YEAR NOW, THE PROTECTIVE SHIELD HAS A SMALL PLASTIC PEN TO HOLD IT IN PLACE. THIS PEN FAILED AND THE SHIELD IS ROTATING FREELY MAKING THE TOOL UNSAFE TO USE. CALLED THE 866 NUMBER ( BECAUSE REPEATED REQUESTS ON "CONTACT US " LINK ON THEIR WEBSITE WENT UN ANSWERED. THE ONLY THING THE LADY ON THE PHONE CAN DO FOR ME IS TO GIVE ME AN AUTHORIZED REPAIRS ADDRESS FOR ME TO TAKE THE TOOL THERE TO FIX AT MY EXPENSE.... GREAT WARRANTY COVERAGE...

I was waiting for Black Friday
I was waiting for Black Friday, hoping that some items might go on sale. But today, to my surprise, I saw that the items were marked as "on sale" while also listed as Out of Stock! Honestly, there was no need to lie to customers. It would’ve been better if they hadn’t done this at all.
This kind of behavior shows a lack of integrity, and it’s hard to trust brands or companies that act this way. I won’t forget the name[RIDGID,Home Depot]of this company and others that follow similar practices. When a company lies to its customers, how can we trust the quality of their products? Let’s not forget: it’s the customers who keep businesses running.
For me, even at the original price, this product is no longer worth it. If a distributor or producer deceives customers, they lose all credibility. Whether it’s Home Depot or the manufacturer[ RIDGID] at fault here, they owe customers an explanation.
