If you absolutely have to be somewhere at a certain time DO NOT trust this app. There may be a three to four hour delay for a one to two hour ride. Terrible customer service. Not worth the potential headache

MES Solutions outsourced my IME Medical Exam ride to Hitch. I never received a Text or a Call, which was promised by MES, until 24 minutes before my scheduled mandatory appointment. My phone rang and the Drive said he is waiting outside. I entered the car and had to exit! I told him it stunk of cigarette smoke and the car was so dirty inside and he insisted no one was smoking. He looked red-eyed perhaps tired. I don't know and I said I can't do this. I'm allergic to smoke. I can't take this to my medical appointment and I got out of the car and took a picture of his license plate. It reminded me of an Uber which I don't use anymore because the same thing happened. It reeked of pot and cigarettes. And fortunately that driver was fired when I complained to Uber.

They pay drivers terribly and their customer service is very unprofessional. With the way gas prices are set up, you will not make a profit driving for them. They rely on drivers who can't compute simple math into taking rides. That is why there is a lot of cancellations for passengers. Drivers simply cannot make money driving to Austin for $100 round trip from Houston for example. The gas cost alone is half of that at $3.50 a gallon. I feel for the poor passengers who spent their hard earned money and wanted a ride to their destination city. This company needs restructuring. Pay your drivers well, and watch in real time the negative comments will disappear.

Very disappointed with this experience. My driver cancelled my Hitch ride at the exact time of pickup, leaving me stranded when I was supposed to travel from Dallas to Houston. This is completely unacceptable, especially when the cancellation happened at the last minute and I had already planned my trip around this ride and paid them in What makes this even more frustrating is that I had planned my entire trip around this ride. A cancellation at pickup time is completely unacceptable, especially for a long-distance trip where passengers have very limited options at the last minute. I contacted Hitch expecting them to take responsibility and provide a proper explanation and compensation. Instead, I feel like the situation was not handled with the seriousness it deserved. Hitch needs to do a much better job protecting passengers from last-minute driver cancellations. If a driver can simply cancel at pickup time, passengers should at least receive meaningful compensation for the inconvenience and any additional costs caused. Very disappointed with the experience. I would think twice before relying on Hitch for an important trip.

I’ll start with the positives! The driver was amazing! Her car was super comfortable and clean! She and I were both punctual! We hit construction and heavy traffic so I missed my first train and had to rebook with an extra fee! That wasn’t the problem or reason why as I gave myself ample time! Hitch dropped me off 9.7 miles from the train station! It was a 24 minute ride! Upon booking, they tell you they drop you off within seven minutes of the train station. That is not correct. I almost missed the second train. Take Lyft or Uber instead! Customer service doesn’t care or respond!

Please be cautious when booking with Hitch. Once you make the payment, you are completely dependent on them — and if they fail to provide the service, you should not expect a refund. On my trip, the driver for the outbound ride never showed up. I waited at the pickup point and kept messaging for updates, but received no response. Because the outbound ride did not happen, I cancelled my return ride that was scheduled two days later. Despite this, Hitch refused to refund the return booking, citing their policy. In my view, if a service is not delivered, the customer should not be charged. That basic expectation of reliability and accountability was completely missing here. I’ve stopped using their service and would advise others to be very careful about paying Hitch in advance

Traveled from Austin to Dallas for $35. The car was clean and ride was smooth and comfortable. Had no idea this service even existed. Will do it again.
