My persona verification has been under review since September. It is sad because I scored 100% in the exam and I used my passport photograph for my identity verification. I hoped the website was real. I would have logged this complaint with support but they would never respond. The company looked like it was real from some reviews i've seen but now I just don't know. A lot of reviews were also quite negative.

Poor Communication and Sudden Offboarding
I worked on a project for nearly a year as part of a large, global team spanning multiple time zones and regions. While working with such a diverse group had its positives, the size and structure of the project often created communication challenges. Different time zones, language barriers, and multiple layers of reviewers and team leads sometimes resulted in misalignment and inconsistent communication.
At times, feedback and expectations seemed to vary depending on who was reviewing the work, making it difficult to always understand which interpretation or standard was expected. Revisions were a regular part of the process, and I consistently addressed the feedback I received and resubmitted my work.
Work availability was also inconsistent. There could be weeks or longer without reliable access to work, which made it difficult to maintain a predictable workload.
There were also meetings and interactions that could feel disruptive or unproductive, and overall I felt there was significant room for improvement in communication, coordination, and professionalism.
After nearly a year on the project, I was suddenly offboarded without advance notice and removed from the workspace groups. I was left without a clear understanding of what specifically led to the decision or an opportunity to address any concerns beforehand.
Overall, the experience had its positives, but better communication, stronger alignment between reviewers and leads, more consistent work availability, and greater professionalism would have made for a much better working experience.

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback and for your contributions to the project over nearly a year. We understand how upsetting the offboarding experience and the lack of clarity surrounding it must have been.
We take your concerns about inconsistent guidance, reviewer alignment, and communication seriously. Your feedback will be shared with the appropriate team to help identify potential improvements in project coordination and contributor communication.
We genuinely want to understand what happened. Please email [email protected] from the email address associated with your REX account and include a link to this Trustpilot review. Once received, we will flag your case for priority review by the appropriate team.

Offboarding handled very poorly
I worked with Remo Experts for about four months in early 2026. For most of that time, I enjoyed the experience! The work was interesting, the pay was excellent compared to similar roles, and the community was helpful. There were issues with changing task requirements and unclear guidance, but those were generally out of Remo's control.
Unfortunately, my experience changed dramatically when I was offboarded.
Looking back, there were warning signs. During office hours, people would occasionally join asking why they had suddenly lost access to all systems without any communication. I always assumed there must have been more to those situations and never expected it to happen to me.
In late March, I suddenly lost access to Slack and the working platform. There was no warning, no email and no explanation. I spent hours trying to troubleshoot what I thought was a technical problem before realising I'd simply been removed.
This was frustrating because we had repeatedly been told that offboarding was not taken lightly. That warnings would be given, and an explanation would follow shortly afterwards. That was not my experience.
Throughout the project, I'd only ever received excellent feedback on my work. Whilst working, new productivity targets were introduced, and admittedly, I didn't always meet them. We were always told to prioritise quality over speed, so I never rushed tasks to hit a target. I believe this ultimately led to my offboarding, which I don't dispute. My issue is how everything was handled afterwards.
Over the following weeks I sent multiple emails asking what had happened. None received a response.
It took three weeks before I finally received an offboarding email. It was a template, which didn't mention me by name, and contained a list of allegations against me.
Some allegations, such as not meeting productivity targets, I could understand. Other allegations, particularly suggestions of fraudulent behaviour or using software to fake activity, were completely untrue. There was no opportunity to discuss the concerns or appeal the decision.
At that point, I accepted that these roles can end at any time. I thought I'd get my final pay check, and move on. Unfortunately, that wasn't what happened.
Remo pays contractors monthly. Because I was offboarded just before payday, my final payment for an entire month's work was withheld. Working near full time in this role, it was a substantial amount of money.
I was fortunate to have emergency savings to fall back on, but had I been relying on that income to pay bills, the situation would have been extremely serious. Losing both your job and an entire month's wages at the same time, with no communication, was incredibly stressful.
Over the following weeks, I repeatedly contacted every Remo email address I had, asking for an update on my payment. I received no response.
After more than two months with no resolution, I began preparing formal legal action. Just before filing it, I made one final attempt to contact management directly through LinkedIn, stating my intentions. Thankfully, that received a response, and shortly afterwards my outstanding payment was made in full.
My criticism isn't that I was offboarded, contractor work is inherently insecure. It's the complete lack of communication. Being removed without warning, waiting weeks for an explanation, then spending months chasing payment made for an incredibly stressful experience.
Remo Experts often talks about treating contractors as people rather than numbers. Unfortunately, that wasn't how I felt during my offboarding. I felt like an account that had simply been switched off, with no communication and no consideration for the impact that would have.
The company is doing many things well, and I appreciate that it is still relatively new. However, I strongly believe its communication and offboarding procedures need significant improvement. Better communication costs nothing, and it would have made an enormous difference to my experience. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what I did.

Hi John,
Thank you for sharing your experience and providing helpful feedback.
We are sorry your offboarding experience was so stressful and disjointed. Even during the offboarding process, trainers should receive clear communication and a quick resolution. It seems we fell short on that goal in your case, and we apologize.
Since mid-March, REX has improved its communications process for offboarding, including providing clearer and more timely email updates, prioritizing final payments for offboarded trainers, separating quality and compliance offboarding processes, and increasing transparency in the process overall.
We will continue improving our processes and communication, and we hope to see you on another project in the future.

ID verification pending for up to a month.
I have my persona verification being process since April. I am from Nigeria and I am starting to think this might be the reason. It is sad though because I scored 100% in the exam and I used my passport photograph for my identity verification. I can't be more real than this. I would have loved to log this complaint with support but support never ever respond. The company looked like it had some prospect but now I just don't know.

Hi Funke, thanks for the feedback. Your application has now been reviewed. Please check your account for the update. We do experience a high volume of applications, so responses can take a little longer. We appreciate your patience.

Passed onboarding but no work or communication for months
I registered on RemoExperts, completed their exams, and successfully passed the verification process. After that, I even received an email asking me to activate my work email, which I did immediately.
However, it has now been over two months, and I have not been onboarded or given any tasks. There has also been no clear communication or update regarding my status.
The process initially seemed promising, but the lack of follow-up after completing all the required steps has been disappointing. It would be helpful if RemoExperts improved their communication and onboarding transparency, especially for applicants who have already passed their assessments.
At the moment, the experience feels uncertain and unstructured, and I hope they address this so future applicants know what to expect.

Hi Joy,
Thank you for your patience and for completing all the required steps!
Task assignments depend on a number of factors: project availability, regional eligibility, accuracy checks, and whether positions are currently open or temporarily paused. You can find more information about this on our FAQ page: https://www.rex.zone/faqs
To increase your chances of being assigned tasks sooner, it may help to stay active on the platform, complete any remaining position exams, and keep an eye out for new project announcements as spots open up regularly.
Hope it helps!
