The red rocks did their magic. My guide Rhonda led a beautiful Vortex land journey, and an aromatherapy cleansing session out on the land which was a highlight I'll carry with me for a long time. The rest of the staff were warm and attentive throughout (office + practitioners) and the Owl Room was a cozy place to land each night. Four stars instead of five only because the bathroom setup in my room lacked privacy, which mattered to me. Everything else about the experience was genuinely restorative, and I'd recommend Spirit Quest to anyone seeking a real restorative Sedona retreat. ***Update after SpiritQuest's reply: To be precise about the door: it had an old-fashioned latch on my side of the bathroom. When I flipped that latch, the sliding door opened directly into an adjoining bedroom, with someone's personal belongings strewn about. So the latch is controlled from the bathroom side--I'll give them that. What I didn't know when I booked the Owl Room, and what I think guests deserve to know, is that the Owl Room bathroom adjoins another bedroom at all. Finding that out by opening the door in the middle of my stay was unsettling. That's my whole concern, and it stands. However, the rest of the experience out at SpiritQuest was great!***
