Somehow didn't find their impression kit to be user friendly. I previously gave impressions to other companies for my aligners and they worked but Retainers Direct Kits don't work at all! Wasted my money on extra kits!

Very difficult to make impressions and extra putty is outrageously expensive. Even carefully following the instructions it took over 24 hours to hear back from the company if the impressions were acceptable. My orthodontist price was 250$ and this price was 200$ for tops and bottoms. Overall I wouldn’t recommend since the price difference was significant enough to deal with the hassle.

I guess this product and process is not suited for me personally. I made sure my imprints/molds looked good. I tried extremely hard to not move at all the entire time. The imprints were accepted and processed. Once I got the retainer the top was a little tight but I kept it on for bedtime. 4 hours later I woke up in pain as if I had just gotten braces. My teeth hurt so bad and were being shifted. I immediately forced the retainer off my teeth and put my old retainer in asap. I do not plan to ever wear my new retainer and it was a waste of money for me.

Instructions for the putty were a bit unclear, even with the video. You have only 45 seconds to mix both putties together, roll them out, and fit them into the mold properly. I was under the impression I'd have 45 seconds to mix them but could take my time putting into the mold. This is not the case and I wasted a putty doing that. Even with the molds it's very difficult to get a good impression because you end up biting too far forward or the putty doesn't come up around your gums enough for accuracy. I ended up not getting any retainer out of this and wasting $80 - went back to my ortho and had to spend $200 to get a new one but it's worth it when it's just done right.

There was no mention of how quickly the putty would harden. It hardened by the time I mixed the 2 different putties completely. Two tries and I still had to buy more putty. Not happy about that.

Not great. The retainers have a film on them that needed to be washed off and they aren't trimmed well. They put pressure on the gum line or youll have to buff them down yourself. The case was cute until the mirror fell right out of it the second time I closed. I left my previous retainer company due to bad customer service. So I paid *more* money for these. At least that company has far better quality.

I bought extra putty to make sure we had enough tries and still the putty dries too fast to mix it and get it in the trays this is so frustrating I have to order more putty to hopefully get a good impression because now I’m vested with the purchase I have no choice!

Honestly at first I was excited to save money but doing the molds is very challenging. I took a picture of my retainer they said it looked good but needed to be approved once it arrived to them. They said the base thing was not well mixed. So I had to redo it. When the person sent me the message to re do it they didn’t even get my name right and called me a different name. They told me to buy additional putty if I didn’t have any and I had one left so decided to use wisely. Messed it up and now I’m done with this :( ! Buy at your own risk
