Transparency
I believe the Resync process needs to be significantly more transparent, consistent, and client-focused. First, all program information should be provided upfront. Prospective clients should receive a complete and straightforward explanation of the program, including all fees, requirements, timelines, expectations, potential outcomes, and any circumstances that could result in additional costs. Clients should not learn important details only after they have already enrolled or signed an agreement. Second, clients should have one consistent point of contact. Having different representatives handle calls, texts, and emails makes the process confusing and frustrating. Clients should be assigned a dedicated contact who understands their situation, can answer their questions, and can provide continuity throughout the program. Third, there should be no unexpected requests for additional funds after an agreement has been signed. If additional funds could potentially be required, that possibility and the specific circumstances should be clearly disclosed before the client enters into an agreement. Clients should not feel that the terms of the arrangement are changing after they have committed. Fourth, communication with creditors needs to be transparent. When Resync communicates with a creditor on a client's behalf, the client should be clearly informed about what was discussed, what was agreed upon, and what the next steps are. Clients should not have to repeatedly ask for basic information about the status of their accounts. Finally, I find the overall Resync process to be unnecessarily clunky and, at times, it can feel like a bait-and-switch experience. The expectations established at the beginning should align with the actual experience throughout the program. Most importantly, clients should be able to see meaningful progress on their accounts within a reasonable timeframe. Waiting six months before seeing any tangible progress is extremely frustrating and undermines confidence in the process. Clients are making important financial decisions based on the information they are given at enrollment. The process should therefore be built around transparency, consistency, accountability, and clear communication from day one.

Thank you for sharing this detailed feedback. We’re sorry that your experience has felt confusing and that you haven’t received the clarity and consistency you expected. We understand your concerns about the information provided before enrollment, requests for additional funds, communication with creditors, continuity between representatives, and the time it can take to see progress. Settlement opportunities and funding needs can depend on factors such as creditor participation, account status, available funds, and affordability. We should clearly explain how those factors may affect your accounts and keep you informed as circumstances change. We’d like to review your enrollment information, account updates, and any funding requests so we can address your specific concerns. A member of our Help Desk team will reach out shortly.
