Resume writing is intimidating, and even more so now that we need to try to get through the AI bots before we can get to an actual human. That is why I decided to try ResumeWritingGroup. I have appreciated the help that has been given, the polishing that has been done, and the patience of my Senior Writer Amy B. As we have worked together to get my resume updated, I have had some family emergencies that pulled me away for weeks at a time. But she was always willing to pick right back up where we left off and to check in to make sure things were ok. If you need some help and are looking for a team, I would give ResumeWritingGroup a chance.

In June 2026, I discovered this company, did my due diligence in advance and reviewed the reviews online. Everything looked positive and on the up and up. My experience with this company has been nothing but negative unfortunately. My service request was very straightforward. I just wanted a refresh of my resume to include my most recent experience taking on a different type of work. Given the descriptions on their website, and having experience in my former life in career support services, I had expectations that the resume writer "professionals" taking these projects would have some level of familiarity with a variety of professionals and as a result could easily incorporate my request. I also expected that the person working on my resume might have a few clarifying questions or want to collaborate on style, tone, etc and so I remained open to that possibility. What actually happened was I uploaded my resume and all related/supporting contextual information into their portal on June 25th. On June 26th I received an email from the resume writer asking 2 clarifying questions (one of which was confusion about the most recent experience that I wanted added). I replied, on June 28th, she replied on June 29th and said expect a draft within the next day. On July 5th I received an email to review their resume services. I replied that I had not received my resume. I received a response with a link to my resume. I had a number of changes and feedback for the writer (there were inconsistent font sizes used throughout my resume, she had literally copied and pasted the bulleted points I submitted describing my most recent professional experience, etc), which I was then instructed to submit via the portal, which I did. She made minimal changes to my resume, so I ended up making the changes myself. In hindsight, I should have requested a refund then, but I let it slide because I was under a tight deadline to submit my resume. Now today, 3 months later, I received a charge on my credit card for $39.95 from this company-apparently for a "subscription" that I did NOT sign up for. The portal has NO WAY to contact anyone for help! There is no contact us, no company email, etc. The AI chatbot literally freezes and does not work after you enter your name and email. So I went back and again emailed the company from a previous thread to report the fraudulent charge and requested their terms for their "We'll get you hired GUARANTEED or your money back" and received a link to their "terms of agreement". There is nothing in their terms that automatically signs you up for a subscription 3 months after the date of service. My bank investigated the unauthorized charge and ruled in my favor, crediting the $39.95 back to my account. This company is not customer centered or kind, their practices are questionable, and my experience of their resume writing services were juvenile at best.
