If you enjoy being gaslit over $60 in fake fees, Homebody’s email support team is for you. I was charged multiple noncompliance fees despite having active, valid renters insurance uploaded on time, with the correct address — including the required PO Box. Instead of resolving the issue, email support bounced me around with shifting excuses, vague responses, and zero accountability. They repeatedly ignored what I already provided, wasted my time, and dragged things out over something they could’ve fixed in minutes. The only reason this didn’t escalate further is because I finally got on the phone with a rep who immediately understood the issue and fixed it. They were helpful, competent, and professional — everything the email support team wasn’t. Homebody needs to seriously rethink how they handle these situations, because right now it feels predatory. One good rep shouldn’t be the only thing standing between customers and unnecessary charges.
