I thought I was booking directly with the hotel. Had to cancel 12 hours after I made the reservation. The cancel process was difficult. This third party charged a $17.99 cancellation fee, which upon close review was disclosed in the "fine print"...but they prominently advertised a full refund. I think the cancel fee practice is very questionable.

Thought this was Expedia!
My husband thought he was calling Expedia. Little did he know it was Reservation Desk. He was asking to book a room on April 7 & 8 at the Westin Mission Hills Resort. He confirmed the reservation and called the hotel. He was charged 1258.98. He found out he had no reservation. He immediately called the number back and told the woman I have no reservation? And the hotel is fully booked? The woman stated she has a reservation booked for April 16 . Not even close to what we asked? He said you need to refund me. You made the mistake they are fully booked. She said I can’t refund you. No refunds. But I will send this to customer service. I called Expedia they said they don’t know a company called Reservation Desk? And that third party companies book under them. I called American Express and put in a dispute. They denied our dispute and said no cancellations. We put it in again. And again the dispute was denied! Even though the companies notes show we called about the reservation being booked the wrong day.American Express has been just as terrible as this Scam company. We are now on our 3rd dispute. Because we received no services. And are trying to prove we have been charged without receiving anything! This is fraud. The company knew the hotel was booked with a no refund policy. They pose as Expedia and Rip Off innocent consumers!
Good luck getting your
Money Back!

PILING ON/ WISH WE COULD DO NEGATIVE STARS
Wow, after reading so many poor reviews on these guys, i thought I may not pile on, but commen sense got the better of me.
I, the same as several others mistakenly ended up booking through these guys and thought it was the hotel Desk, Sandman Inn, Quesnal, BC. August 5, 2025 for one night. Within 10 minutes of booking was told I did not need the reservation. Called Reservation Desk immediately. The first lady I spoke to said no refund, I said well I guess bad reviews then (little did I know) then she said she would check with her superiors, on hold a few minutes, comes back and says they are trying to get ahold of the Hotel but cannot, then she tells me that I should try and get ahold of the hotel, I asked why I would get ahold of the hotel, she said to tell them you're not coming, I asked, then will I get my money back, she said I will call you back in 20 minutes. Of course no call back.
I call them again, this time I get another woman, same song and dance, then she tells me to phone the hotel, explains there process of using pay as you go credit cards, no possible way to get money back. Then she said they have to have a 24 hour period for something or other. Finally I told them forget it, I will eat the cost on this one, you got me, but hey I said I'd write a bad review so here it is.

Scammed
I accidentally made an online motel reservation thru RD, thinking I was at the actual motel site. BIG mistake! RD immediately charged me $823. My receipt from my motel was for $542. $280 dollars for them to reserve my room? I think not. Am trying to get a refund or will file a complaint with my state attorney general. AVOID RESERVATION DESK

Deceptive - Hidden Fees
I'm not one to leave reviews, but I'm disappointed in how greedy and deceptive people and companies can be.
Paid $250 for a $150 night (if booked directly with hotel). Our flight landed in Cleveland close to midnight, so we called a reservation in thinking we were speaking to an actual rep. Found out after it was too late, that they weren't connected. (Our mistake.) The man on the call said, "So usually our rooms that fit your needs usually run for $350, but I can get you a really good deal. I can get you this for $250 a night."
What a joke! - total cost was $298
Don't ever book through Reservation Desk.

Absolutely horrid customer service
Absolutely horrid customer service. Booked two hotel stays through them for business purposes. The receipt barely qualifies as a receipt. No cost breakdown and when asked for a break down of charges, was told it is not possible and the lady was extremely rude. Overcharged on taxes and can not see why.
This might be a fine alternative to booking for a personal trip, but highly cautious if using for business purposes where you need a receipt. The hotel will not provide a detailed receipt if booked through Reservation Desk. You are left on your own. This is just to be very cautious when using this site, as there is no customer service

I booked a hotel
I booked a hotel, thinking I was dealing directly at the hotel.
I had to cancel my reservation due to my husbands death and they kept $148.00+, saying they would work with the hotel to get a refund for me. I contacted the hotel directly, who said they never got the payment, so reservationsdesk.com is keeping my money and giving me a run around. I am investigating to see where they are located, so I can possibly deal with the Better Business Bureau in their area. DON'T BOOK FROM THESE PEOPLE.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!!!!!
DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!!!!!
This company is a SCAM. They label themselves online as being the "Reservation Desk" of the hotel you are searching for, then give you misinformation regarding the booking.
I was scammed by them when I tried to book at the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage. They said the Captain Cook was full but that they also had a small hotel "immediately next door" that we could reserve. Since some in our party were already staying at the Captain Cook and we would not have a car, we accepted this since it was just next door.
When we got to Anchorage, we found that this hotel was not even close to the Captain Cook, over one mile away, and not in an area anyone would walk in after dark.
I tried calling Reservation Desk to tell them we would NOT be checking in, but their number provided only went to Expedia, whom I had never dealt with. Expedia knew nothing about the reservation and denied that the reservation number on file was theirs.
I told that front desk that we would not be checking in and they could sell the room to another customer. They said they were full so they would have no problem selling the room. But the charge remained on my credit card.
I contacted American Express, but they now say they only "mediate," and this scam company wants to still be paid, even though we never stayed there and they very likely resold the room.
DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!!!!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!!
