Lost client project because of rentomojo. If the product (I needed a specific Make laptop for the project) is not available, then the app/website should not allow booking of that product. Took a 10k deposit, took two days for KYC and in total 4 full days to inform me that the product is not available, by which time it was too late to source from alternative vendors. All processes are extremely slow and have zero transparency. Cannot speak with any customer executive directly - have to chat with an agent (who does not know anything about delivery status) and then wait for an executive to call back, whenever they find the time. The experience with rentomojo has been truly pathetic.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Rentomojo – From Service Negligence to Customer Harassment
I have been using Rentomojo’s services in Bangalore for the past two and a half years and have rented multiple products from them. Throughout this period, I have made my rental payments promptly and have been a regular customer. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been extremely disappointing and has completely changed my perception of the company.
I recently moved to a new apartment and returned all my rented products except the mattresses, which I needed until my last day at the previous apartment. I had clearly informed Rentomojo twice that the phone number registered against the mattress rental was different and that they should contact me on my current number to coordinate the pickup.
Despite these instructions, nobody contacted me around the scheduled pickup date. I eventually had to initiate contact myself and request that the mattresses be picked up as soon as possible, as my previous landlords were not comfortable with them being left behind. Since Rentomojo failed to coordinate the pickup, I had no option but to ask my previous landlords to dispose of the mattresses.
Imagine my surprise when, 10–15 days later, Rentomojo contacted me claiming that my rental payments were overdue. How can a customer be held responsible for a pickup that the company itself failed to execute?
What makes this even more frustrating is that Rentomojo subsequently acknowledged its service failure and apologised for the inconvenience caused by its inability to manage the pickup. I am attaching a screenshot of that apology as evidence. Yet, despite this acknowledgement, the matter was apparently not resolved, and I was contacted again roughly two weeks later.
The situation then took a completely unacceptable turn. Approximately a month later, today, I receive a call from someone claiming to be from DHL, who said he was around my previous rental address. Assuming this was related to a delivery or some other legitimate matter, I shared my current location. The individual arrived at my doorstep and revealed that he was there on behalf of Rentomojo, demanding either the return of the mattresses or payment for them.
I attempted to explain the entire situation, including the failed pickup and the company's own apology. Instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue professionally, he became aggressive, raised his voice and refused to leave. At one point, he even placed his hand in the doorway and prevented me from closing the door.
When I asked how the matter could be resolved, I was told that I could call the police if I wished. I did exactly that. The police arrived, and the individual subsequently left the scene.
This is not just poor customer service; it is an extremely distressing and unacceptable way to treat a customer.
I have absolutely no objection to a company following legitimate procedures to recover its products or resolve a payment dispute. If Rentomojo believes I owe them money, it can communicate with me through official channels, provide the relevant documentation, or pursue the appropriate legal process. What is completely unacceptable is sending someone to my home who behaves aggressively, refuses to listen, and physically prevents me from closing my own door.
What makes this particularly appalling is that I was not someone who had simply disappeared without paying. I had been a customer for two and a half years, had consistently made timely payments, and had proactively initiated the return process. The other rented products were successfully returned, and the associated refund was processed. The issue with the mattresses arose because of Rentomojo's own failure to coordinate the pickup, not because I refused to cooperate.
Why should a customer bear the consequences of a company's operational negligence? And why should that negligence escalate into an intimidating doorstep encounter?
I genuinely cannot understand how a company that operates on a rental subscription model can handle customer disputes in this manner. A company's responsibility does not end with collecting payments; it also includes accountability, effective communication and treating customers with basic dignity and respect.
I hope Rentomojo's management takes this incident seriously, investigates the conduct of the person sent to my residence, reviews how the pickup failure was handled, and ensures that no other customer has to go through a similar experience.
My experience with Rentomojo has been deeply disappointing. I would strongly urge prospective customers to consider not just the convenience of renting from the company, but also how it handles service failures and disputes when things go wrong.

SCAM dressed up in good marketing
Incompetent employees from the very top to bottom. Zero remorse and 1000% audacity for the ill treatment of their customers. Customer Care is just crippled with inaction, escalation team does not understand the meaning of escalation or priority and senior management will straight up peddle lies if they aren't left with any escape. Horrible horrible group of muggers. Rentomojo is just another name for a SCAM. Just because their marketing has made them a ubiquitous name doesn't mean they are actually of any good. Steer away from them or they'll throw you under the bus when the time of compensation or returning deposit comes. They are able to display agressive pricing because they never compensate and their ground staff is underpaid and short, for which you have to pay the cost mentally and financially as well.

1-Star Review – Extremely Disappointing Experience with RentoMojo
I would strongly advise people to think twice before trusting RentoMojo with their household belongings. My experience has been extremely disappointing, especially because even after paying for moving services and insurance, I was left without my belongings and without any meaningful resolution.
I booked RentoMojo’s packers and movers for 19 June 2026, and my belongings were picked up from my Hyderabad apartment. However, the parcel was delivered only on 2 July 2026, after reportedly remaining in their warehouse for around 9–10 days. I had booked the shipment with insurance and had also paid an additional ₹2,500 for labour, expecting a professional and reliable service. Instead, several valuable items were missing when the shipment arrived.
The missing items included things such as a drilling machine (hammer was received but the drill itself was missing), air purifier (charger received but purifier missing), mixer, iron, jars of a mixer grinder, and many other household items. In total, more than 20 items were missing which is of cost more than Rs.25000.
I immediately raised the issue and requested either that the missing belongings be located or that I be allowed to claim the insurance for the loss. However, instead of taking immediate responsibility, RentoMojo kept the matter pending.
What makes this even more frustrating is that Aamir Shaikh from RentoMojo’s Mumbai Logistics team was directly involved in handling the issue. I was repeatedly asked to wait while the matter was supposedly being checked. According to the email trail, I was in continuous contact with him from 2 July onwards, and he was aware of the missing items. I was even told that the shipment had not left the facility until 28 June, which raises serious questions about RentoMojo’s claim that the goods were continuously in transit.
I provided screenshots and supporting information and repeatedly followed up. Yet instead of resolving the issue, Aamir kept the matter on hold and delayed the process.
Then came the biggest problem: the insurance claim.
RentoMojo eventually rejected my insurance claim stating that the loss was reported more than 24 hours after delivery. Their response says that the issue was raised 3–4 days after delivery and therefore they could not process the insurance claim.
But this completely ignores the circumstances. The shipment itself had issues, and I was trying to get the matter investigated. Aamir did not allow us to properly proceed with the insurance claim on the same day, and the matter was repeatedly kept pending while we were being asked to wait for updates. After weeks of delays, RentoMojo then relied on the 24-hour clause to refuse the claim.
This is incredibly unfair.
I sent multiple follow-up emails on 17 July, 18 July, 21 July and 22 July, asking for updates, but there was still no proper resolution. By 30 July, I had been waiting for more than a week without any meaningful update and had even contacted customer care, where I was promised a callback from the logistics team that never happened.
Finally, on 31 July, Aamir Shaikh responded saying that because the issue was reported outside the 24-hour window, RentoMojo could neither provide compensation nor process the insurance claim. This is extremely disappointing customer service.
You take money for moving and insurance, lose/misplace valuable belongings, delay the investigation, keep the customer waiting for weeks, and then use the reporting window to deny the insurance claim.
The entire experience raises serious questions about RentoMojo’s logistics process, accountability and customer support.
My advice to anyone using RentoMojo: document and photograph every single item before handing over your belongings, record the condition and contents of every box, and do not assume that paying for insurance guarantees that your loss will actually be covered.
I expected RentoMojo to take responsibility and resolve a genuine logistics failure. Instead, I spent weeks chasing updates, dealing with repeated delays, and ultimately received a refusal for the insurance claim.
Extremely poor experience. Poor communication. Poor accountability. And most importantly, no satisfactory resolution for the loss of our belongings.
1/5 – Would not recommend RentoMojo for moving valuable household belongings.

Horrible service and zero customer…
Horrible service and zero customer service above all the agents don't even understand English... disgusted with the service. My delivery was rescheduled without my consent and no one can take the ownership to sort for mistake done by the agent as he failed to understand the difference between delivery and installation. I am suffering now for his mistake and next week is rakhi week.

Their service has been extremely awful
Their service has been extremely disappointing. It’s been 10 days since I placed my order through the Limitless Plan, and I still haven’t received the products. The delivery has been rescheduled 3–4 times without any proper communication or updates.
I would strongly recommend choosing Furlenco instead. They may be slightly more expensive, but the service and reliability are far better.
