First windows were installed incorrectly. First night during a storm. It was blowing so hard when was coming through the window itself. And rattling plastic on the floor that I had while they were installing. The window made so much noise that woke me up. Second one of the case, windows lacking mechanisms was broken even before they installed it. Poor quality control at manufacturing. Should have caught at them before. They even brought the window out to install it. Third, the windows weren't even properly insulated. Some weren't insulated at all between the rough and opening and the window. I have pictures showing daylight coming through before they put the window trim around. Finally, one window doesn't even close and has a quarter inch gap in it. Yesterday they would replace the window for an additional.$1200. We had 10 windows replaced. They came out and reinsulated 3 of the 10. Have you got to come out and reinstate the other 7, it's going on 3 years. Windos installed 02/23.

Commission over Customer
The salesman didn’t bother to show me what he could furnish for one of my windows. He failed to verify that their company could even handle a window of this size. I ended up with a very expensive Frankenstein design that would have worked, if he had ordered vertical mullions instead of horizontal. Ours is an old house that doesn’t carry the style well. Salesman was insistent that I couldn’t have a simple double hung with vertical division so it looked like the storm window it replaced. He might have found a suitable window in one of their less expensive lines, but he wouldn’t show me any of those lines.
I think if you pay thousands of dollars for a window, you should get what you want.

I wouldn't recommend Anderson
I wouldn't recommend Anderson. The final product is overall a good product and the guys in the field do good work in San Diego. But the salesman did not put in the order correctly then management did not make it right. They offered to let me pay more if I wanted it done as I asked. The finance company is a third party and is sketchy too. They may say they want half up front but in my case, I had to pay 64% instead. So basically I didn't get what I asked for and it took 6 months instead of 3. Plus, don't believe everything the salesman tells you and do not sign anything until you get a printed copy and read it well!

Bad. Very Bad....
I wish that my experience with Renewal by Andersen (Central Florida) was as wonderful as all of the gushing (fake?) Google reviews posted online. But, sorry to say... my experience has been bad. Very bad.
I signed a contract and Paid in Full for 2 windows and a sliding door- JULY 2024. A year has passed and I have No Windows or Door.. and Andersen has my money ($25,000). Their Rep left a voice-mail last October 2024 that they have my windows and are ready to install them. OK, but then no response to my calls, or emails to schedule the installation. In January 2025, I finally sent a Certified Letter asking for the work or a refund. Ten days later, I received a call "Just sign one document and we can pull a permit to install your windows." I asked to see the document. No response. A month later, another call, "Just sign this document, so we can pull a permit and install your windows." I asked to see the document. No response. I finally went to the building department myself and it turns out that the Permit had already been issued! Renewal by Andersen was just playing games with me.
Now, I am dealing with their corporate attorney because the owner, JARED LEE MELLICK, apparently won't respond to a legitimate customer complaint. Their attorney said I could have my money back, minus a $14,000 Penalty. I declined. Then, they offered a refund, minus an $8,000 Penalty.
What did I do wrong to deserve a Penalty? I paid for the windows in advance, provided all the documents they asked for, begged them to install my windows, listened to their phony excuses, and now have been waiting for a full year... with nothing but aggravation to show for it.
If you are thinking about hiring Renewal by Andersen (Central Florida) for your home project.... think again.

Warehouse lost sliding door and only offered 1/2% refund
The warehouse lost one of our sliding glass doors and it wasn't installed until several months after the rest of our project was completed. Even then, the door was missing hardware. Our Installation Manager promised us a "significant" refund. After months of trying to get an update, they finally told as they were authorized to give us an amount that represented 0.5% of the cost of our total project or 2% of the door in question (i.e., NOT significant). We told them this was unacceptable. We still have not heard back from Corporate.

Lesson Learned
I paid Renewal by Anderson in full for 6 windows, and every one of them was an ordeal to complete. Working with RBA was nothing short of traumatizing.
To start with, I had one of their awning windows installed. During that process, the caulk that was laid was uneven, did not provide a complete seal, and smears of it were left on the glass. I pointed this out, they fixed it that day. Because the window looked and functioned like it did in ads, and they were so diligent to fix the problems, I hired them to do 5 more windows. That's where everything went horribly wrong...
It took Renewal by Anderson six months to finish installing those 5 windows. I lost count of the number of times they visited during that time, but here are some of the problems that occurred:
- Every window was initially installed without cleaning the window frames. This meant that dirt, wood debris, etc. was trapped under their caulk and paint, in many cases breaking the seal.
- This time RBA explained that they would have to come back another day to fix it. That took a month to schedule, and when they returned RBA did an even worse job.
- It took RBA another month to schedule a third install attempt. This time they got it close to a finished state, meaning I accepted a great number of imperfections that I felt I could fix myself.
- RBA installed a sheet of metal over a wooden board and painted over it, causing the board underneath to mold due to trapped moisture. This is what RBA installed when I asked them to replace a rotten board with 'the same material as the windows.'
- RBA ordered the wrong colored parts, that alone delayed the project an entire month, because they needed to reorder the parts I requested.
- RBA gouged one of the windows with a hammer during the initial install. I pointed that out when it happened, and many more times after, and to this day they still have not repaired it.
- Every window has 1/32" gaps around the grilles. That doesn't sound like a lot, but it's enough space for plenty of light to pass through. RBA has refused to fix this, claiming that they allow a 1/16" gap in their grilles. RBA has refused to produce any documentation that states that.
- Multiple representatives who specifically told me they were assigned to deal with these issues vanished from the project without explanation. Every attempt I made to ask for clarity about this was ignored. I was only passed on to another representative who then passed me on to another representative.
- A representative I specifically asked not to work with again, because they minimized and mocked the issues I brought up, was reassigned to the project. I was told I needed to work with this person to progress the project.
- This person did not resolve any of the outstanding problems in this project. Instead, they ignored most of my questions, repeatedly misspelled my name, and curiously, also misspelled the name of the company he worked for.
- When I asked RBA to produce evidence that my requests for service had ever been reaching the appropriate parties, so that I could at least rule that out as a problem, they refused to do so.
- Towards the end of this process I hired a lawyer to formally request Renewal by Andersen conduct all communications through them. I was completely exhausted at this point and hoped that having an intermediary would help the situation. RBA refused to respond to them.
- In spite of the request to use an intermediary, RBA has continued to conduct sales calls to probe my interest in buying more of their products. In these calls I explain how bad my experience was, the rep tells me they will investigate this and call back, but none of them have. I just get more calls from completely new people.
I think the windows themselves are a good product. They do function like they should, they just don't look like the ads because of all the damage RBA caused during the many attempts at install.
There are other companies in my area that offer similar products, so I can not fathom why RBA has chosen to represent themselves this way. I can and will take my business elsewhere.
After years of negotiation, the maximum Renewal Anderson has offered me in way of an apology is 10% of my money back, but in order to get that they want me to sign a NDA. I believe it is in my best interest to not sign, and instead report on my experience as one of their valued customers.

This company never again
Company is overpriced takes them forever to get back and make things right. When they did return the second job wasn't any better than the first one. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Their ads are purely deceptive
Their ads are purely deceptive. First ad said buy one windows and get second half off. In very small print it says minimum of 4 windows for this deal. In other words buy 4 and 1 will be half off. Pure deception. New ad says no interest or payments for 1 year. In very small print it says if paid in full within 1 year. How do you get a year of no interest or payments if you have to pay in full within that year. Pure lies. Please stay away from these scammers and liars.
