we decided to have a standard joined pair of Double-Hung windows replaced with a bay window. The first attempt resulted in excessive condensation on the window itself, the surrounding framing and the window seat base. This was so significant that the finish was peeling and mold was appearing. An inspector came out, agreed there was a problem and the entire window and bay were replaced. The problem recurred and Renewal by Anderson refused to provide any correction. Despite the fact that this was the ONLY window of 24 other Anderson window in the house that was presenting this way, the inspector from Anderson said it was because the house was too humid. The problem was only manifest during the winter months (I'm in the Northeast) and, with a forced warm air heating system and no humidification, the house is anything but humid. The inspector was adamant and arrogant in clinging to his assessment of the situation. It persists to this day.

We recently had new windows and a sliding door installed by Renewal by Andersen, and the experience was very disappointing. Despite assurances that their products are flawless, multiple issues appeared shortly after installation. Follow-up repairs were ineffective, and the company did not take full responsibility for the problems. If you care about quality installation, proper workmanship, and good customer service, we strongly recommend thoroughly researching your options before selecting an installer. We would not choose Renewal by Andersen again given the challenges we experienced with warranty claims.

These people are horrible. They do not want you to understand what you are buying, but rather want to pressure sell you into buying Anderson doors at an inflated price (I bought the same doors at a significantly lower cost) and then tell you that you are going to lose discounts unless you "buy right now". After that, they call you every day and harrass you. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!

This company is a scam! We needed to replace a few windows and decided to go with Renewal by Andersen due to their supposed efficiency. After the windows were installed and we proceeded to apply for the home improvement grant, we were told the specs provided when they installed them wasn’t good enough; that the new windows were not efficient enough to qualify. Then, within 6 months of installing these brand new (very expensive) windows, two of the four windows are compromised and have moisture building up between the panes. Customer service sucks, and we have yet to resolve the problem of the compromised windows.

We were stupid and didn't shop or look for a glazier! Don't make those mistakes! Extreme overpricing and inefficient supply chain and tech staff unfamiliar with local permitting! We bought a similar large window in 2023 in SANTA CLARA COUNTY for a little more than ONE-TWENTIETH the price of the window and install from "ANDERSON RENEWAL" for San Francisco! We will recommend widely on social media to GO TO A LOCAL GLAZIER unless the customer has money to burn! A fool and his money are soon parted....!!!!

I bought Renewal by Andersen windows a little over three years ago. When they were installed, it was apparent that the windows were too large for my existing frames. They contacted me and had me send pictures. They decided it was an installation problem. So this means I pay for the repairs. I've had three different contractors in my house looking at my window, and they all agree the windows are too big. This should make it a manufacturing problem. So much for the warranty. It seems like they have my money, so service is out of the question. Doug Spieker DAV

How does this company make money? They are highly overpriced, I was qouted six figures for nine windows, two sliding glass doors and an entry door. The sales guy kept saying everything window and door is custom job. How is it custom when I live in a residential block built in the late 2000? He didnt even break down the prices for me, I had to ask how much a window costs and his reply was 8k for one window! Expect a new mortgage if you go with this company.
