I just loved the countless community, the accommodations, and just the overall specialness of the culture and the city itself. It was amazing learning more about Xhosa, getting out of my comfort zone with Lionshead, and the hospitality of our hilarious and amazing city leader Nat. I will most definitely be back and have already been researching flights back to Cape Town.

Valencia, Spain in March (during Fallas) —an exhilarating time of year. Rich in Valencia’s history and culture. The accommodations were extraordinary: modern, well-furnished (coffee maker, washer, comfortable seating and beds, etc.) The local experiences were wonderful. Marina (community leader) connected us with some amazing professionals for everything from cooking lessons to the history and politics of Fallas. This was my first Remote Year trip. The others in my group were diverse in age, backgrounds, and careers. Most people prioritized their work/work hours, so you are able to be quite productive without having to swim upstream. And there were plenty of opportunities to socialize and thoroughly enjoy the city throughout the month. I’m actually writing this review on the last day of my trip. If April had any availability at all, I would just stay here one more month!

Valencia was an experience well worth exploring. Marina couldn't have been a better community leader. If you're on the fence, quit hesitating. Pull the trigger, now.

This is my 4th month in the last 12 months with Remote Year and my second time visiting Valencia. I've truly enjoyed spending time with other travelers exploring new cities and sharing experiences.

Staff is very human and supportive! Prices are a bit high but they save you a ton of time and stress of planning for your next activity while you are working and enjoying those actvities that you are doing now.

My first RY proper experience. Loved 99% of it. My apartment in Buenos Aires was great; that’s often a complaint amongst reviews, but I have no complaints at all. The workspace was good, the neighborhood was amazing, side activities were fun, and our country leader/program leader Ignacio was amazing. Buenos Aires is a fantastic city, and RY was a great way to see it. I would’ve loved to have stayed longer.
