So far, Remote Year has been a great experience. The more I learn about traveling the more comfortable I feel with it. My favorite way to describe RY is that I pay them "rent" and in exchange I get so much more. I get new friends, new city every month, an introduction to the language and region I'm in... I could go on and on about the list of things I don't have to worry about. It's been so comforting to have support not only in my own program but with the Remote Year employees in each location. If you come into this with an open mind it pays off completely. I love my group. I love where I've been living. I'm so excited to continue.

I am currently at the half-way point of Remote Year and can't believe I ever considered not doing it. Traveling around the world while working is the new normal for me and has had a positive impact on both my personal, and professional, life. Each person has a different experience of RY and it depends on that person to make the most of it. For me, that means not having to worry about accommodations, WiFi and a workspace every month. This frees up a ton of time to actually l i v e in each city. The RY staff does an excellent job of providing a platform to make the most out of your year. Each person has to either take advantage of what is offered, or simply ignore what is superfluous to them. Keep your expectations real, and check the speed of internet that is absolutely necessary for your job :-) And just do it, for god's sake.

I am forever grateful for the Remote Year opportunity. I am currently on my second month and the transformation I’ve witnessed in my professional and personal life is incredibly rewarding. I would encourage everyone to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity.

I have loved my Remote Year experience so far. I have been to incredible places and have the luxury of someone else managing my living situations, travel, side trips, etc. However, the biggest benefit of this program is the people! I get the travel with a large group of talented, ambitious people who have taught me so much about personal development, business, and random skills. I would recommend this to everyone!

Look. It's simple if you can work remotely and want to travel the world...da ?? Are you kidding me? There is no cheaper more inclusive (and caring ...as all the staff are great) way to travel the world....and what ...work while doing it? What's to think about? You can always find an excuse to stay in your cube....time to bust out! Go!! Or you can stay home and do and see the same ole same ole....or you can see and taste the World!! Been the best thing I ever did....and I'm much older than you.

Would absolutely recommend Remote Year. This has hands down been the best decision I have made and opened my mind to the future of work. While it may be more inexpensive to work and travel on your own, the community- fellow remotes, program leaders, and city teams are invaluable. I have made numerous connections with other staff and remotes to help advance my career.

I'm not kidding. I'm only a quarter of the way through my year traveling the world with Remote Year and this is easily the best investment I've ever made. I had reservations, like everyone, but these last three months have exceeded my expectations in every way possible mostly because of the people. I don't know how they do it, but RY curated the perfect travel family and each day has been an absolute blessing. I can't remember life without these 50 strangers even though it was just a few short months ago. I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be, doing the things I'm supposed to be doing with the people I'm supposed to be doing them with. I've thoroughly enjoyed letting someone else figure out all the operational stuff for the year so I can focus on my community, connecting with the local cultures, my passions, and most importantly, myself. If you're reading this, you must be interested in Remote Year so here's a pro tip: don't over think it because it's nothing like you can ever imagine, but it will be so so so much better.

I was part of the first group who went on Remote year and while everything did not go perfect, I would recommend this to everyone who has the opportunity to go. I originally went because I wanted to travel the world with like minded people while working. What I ended up getting was a memorable experience and a group of great friends. I will admit the accommodations where not always the best and there were some hiccups with internet for a few days but being someone who has worked remotely for 10+ years I can say that I have run into similar issues in the US let alone abroad. If you are to go on this, don't go because you want a plush experience but go because you want a community who will challenge you to grow. I can't say enough about my experience and hope you will feel the same way after you finish.
