Currently 4 months into a 12 month program. I run the risk of sounding like a paid shrill by saying that these have been by far the best 4 months of my life, but that's the truth. I rarely leave reviews and can't think of many for profit companies I'd fanboy over - this is a special case. Apart from the obvious "You give them money, they provide you with the service", I'm amazed at how personal the experience feels. There are real flesh and blood human beings that spend their time making sure they understand you as a person, so that you can grow and push yourself to new heights within the program. I have yet to meet a single staff member that I wouldn't invite to my little brother's birthday party. When it comes to "large group travel programs", RY is the kind of social experiment that makes me excited to fund personally and share a part of history with them.

RY is a perfect place to grow personally and professionally. The organization is perfect, so that people can concentrate on their work and own projects. I enjoy travelling with Remote Year!

Are you here for business or pleasure? Both! I'm so glad that I signed on for Remote Year and got to travel the world with the lovely humans of RY Earhart. RY takes care of everything from housing to coworking spaces to coordinating local experiences. Each RY city you visit has a local team on hand to help and guide you for the month, so you know you're getting authentic experiences and first-hand knowledge. I took the leap to join remote year nearly 11 months ago and I wouldn't change that decision for a single second. The amount of life-changing experiences, friends, and growth both professionally and personally have been more than I could have ever expected. Take the leap. You won't regret it.

Remote Year is a work/travel company that has taken the stress out of traveling by coordinating all the logistics AND has created a culture bringing like-minded professionals together to experience the world. I have been very pleased with the community (aka my family); collaboration; charitable giveback (aka positive impact) & all the details that go into making our year just plain EPIC! I would 100% suggest this company because they truly have thought of everything & if they haven't, RY is very open to feedback & adapting.

Traveling for an extended period of time, especially a full year, comes with its trials and tribulations; however, Remote Year provides the support network to make such an endeavor more livable and sustainable. The community has been the unexpected bonus.

I'm currently on month 7 of Remote Year and it has been a wonderful experience thus far. The friendships that the group has made with each other are invaluable and will last a lifetime. I have to say my favorite part of the RY experience is the city teams. These are locals who organize events, help us find things like grocery stores, ATMs, laundromats, restaurants, etc. They connect us to locals and show us how their people live and think. And they are just wonderful people. I work full time as a consultant for a DC based organization and while it took a little convincing, my company ultimately agreed to let me participate in RY it has been a very positive experience for everyone. I work later hours depending on where I am in the world and adjust my schedule accordingly which in a way has been fun instead of a challenge. I would definitely recommend RY to anyone who is interested.

I am currently in month 8 of my year traveling and working abroad with Remote Year and I have to say I wouldn't have chosen to do it with any other company! They have an extremely responsive and friendly staff that helps prepare you in every way possible, lends support in all areas while in the program and takes care of all the travel logistics so you don't even have to think about it. Not only that but you are traveling with a community of like-minded people who literally become your family. Remote Year also cares about your experience in every city and they have "local teams" in every location you visit to help make your experience better. The teams provide you with recommendations on things to see, places to eat and drink and help you plan side trips in the area. They also arrange for you to go on 3 "track events" which are included in your monthly fee and are planned events to help you immerse yourself in the local culture (examples: local cooking class, hanging with the Penguins in Cape Town, rafting in Croatia, jeep tours in Lisbon, art tours, etc. etc.). I don't think competitor companies do anything like this. I can't believe I only have 4 months left. I've had such an amazing experience so far and wouldn't trade it for anything else!
