What made my experience great? Definitely our guides Thiago and Cori Lynn and the wonderful group of travelers that were on this journey before and will continue after. The events were thoughtfully planned, my apartment and roommate couldn't have worked out better and the memories... oh the memories. I actually almost cancelled right before. It would have been one of the biggest mistakes of my life. Just go. Book it. Bring sandals and a few swimsuits.

Remote year in Florianopolis has been more than perfect is truly a magical island that the only risk is not wanting to leave! If you like surfing, good food and the best city manager come to Floripa you will not regret it! Here’s to an amazing month and returning in the future.

My experience with RemoteYear on the magic island (Florianapolis) has been nothing short of incredible. This was my first international trip and i feel as though I am headed back to the states completely transformed as an individual. I have made lifelong friends in the short month that I’ve spent here and we are already planning our next RemoteYear experience. Thiago is a wonderful city guide who takes so much pride in this island and his country and i have a tremendous amount of gratitude for his knowledge and care throughout this entire experience. Cori Lynn, our community leader is a great human being above all things who goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed and make this experience not only unforgettable but instrumental to our growth as individuals. I cannot wait for my next RemoteYear experience and I am even considering coming back to Florianapolis at some point in the near future due to the wonderful experience i had here :)

Remote Year Lisbon June ‘23 - a fantastic experience. The city is full of life, culture, art, and music, and traveling as part of RY was really special. The city team - Pedro and Viviana - were exceptional, and they helped make the experience so great start to finish. If you’re able to work and travel, yet don’t want to travel totally solo, this is a great option for you in Portugal.

I recently went on my first one month trip with Remote Year to Lisbon, Portugal. It was my first experience with the company and it exceed all of my expectations. Lisbon is an amazing vibrant city that is rich in culture and offers something for everyone. There were so many different things to do and experience, one month was not enough time and I can not wait to get back! Our city manager Pedro was amazing. He was there to help with any issues we had and always came up with fun impromptu events based on our feedback. I can’t wait to travel with Remote Year again soon!

I did the Remote Year Lisbon experience in June 2023 and it was great. It was my first time trying to work from another country and everything was perfect. The accommodation was carefully picked, apartments were in great condition and in a lovely neighborhood. The co-working space was close to the apartments and I was enjoying working from there also. The city of Lisbon is a great place to embrace the European culture with fantastic food, people and weather. The activities that our city managers planned were really nice. We had night-outs, cultural events, beach days, workshops. Our group had diversity and this made the trip better, I met with wonderful people, learned new things and their cultures which is also special. Lastly, city managers in Lisbon (Viviana and Pedro) were great. They were always friendly, helpful and polite and this also made this experience smooth. I highly recommend Remote Year Lisbon to anyone who is interested.

I made the decision to go to Lisbon for the month of June because I wanted to experience the digital nomad life first-hand. This was my first time travelling with RY so I was a bit apprehensive but it was honestly the best decision I've ever made and I cannot recommend it enough! From day one everything felt right because we were in the capable hands of 2 amazing people, our city leaders, Viviana and Pedro :) They made us feel so welcome and were always available to answer any of our questions. Brilliantly organised events shared with a wonderful group of people from all the over the world. It was a proper community experience. I definitely made some friends for life on this trip! The memories and the laughs will stay with me forever :) Already looking forward to booking my next trip!

I did the 1-month trip to Lisbon with Remote Year back in June. Honestly an unforgettable experience. I met diverse and interesting people in my group and enjoyed every minute of the month. Also, have to give a shoutout to Viviana and Pedro. What genuine and authentic people! The trip was great, but having them lead the program was definitely the cherry on top!
