Rude call that was very confrontational…
Rude call that was very confrontational and insulting. I am a health care provider myself and I was shocked how this intro "acceptance" or "decision" call went. I felt like it was just how much are you willing to spend. You need to get your husband on the call so he can approve this and zero discussion about what brought me here. Immediately turned off and no way I would spend money here if this is how you are made to feel. It felt very confrontational and not at all what I was expeciating from the ads and initial texts I received. I'm highly disappointed and will be advising my friends and colleagues to find help and healthcare elsewhere with empathetic providers who don't want to know your annual income or how much you are "willing to invest in yourself" I've never left a meeting so grossed out. I'm going to try once again to find a provider who listens to me and can help me instead of judging me and making me feel like a worthless person. I'm honestly shocked you get people to pay you anything if that is how you recruit into your program. If tough love is your strategy then as we say in the South, bless your heart!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience so honestly. I want to start by saying how deeply sorry I am that this interaction left you feeling judged, dismissed, and hurt. That is never our intention, and it is not aligned with the way we strive to care for people. As a fellow healthcare provider, your perspective matters immensely, and it’s especially troubling to hear that the call felt confrontational, transactional, and focused on finances rather than truly understanding what brought you to us. You deserved to be listened to with curiosity, respect, and compassion — not made to feel uncomfortable, pressured, or reduced to a financial decision. I am particularly sorry that involving your husband was presented in a way that felt disempowering or inappropriate. That is not how we want anyone to experience their autonomy or decision-making, and I completely understand why that would be a turning point for you. Your feedback is being taken seriously. We will be reviewing this interaction internally because even one person feeling this way is one too many. If our messaging, intake process, or communication style is creating a disconnect between what we promise and how someone feels when they engage with us, that is on us to correct. You are not worthless. You are not “too much.” And you are absolutely right to expect empathetic, patient-centered care from anyone in this space. I am genuinely sorry we missed the mark with you. I understand if trust has been broken and you choose not to move forward with us. Please know that I do wish you the very best in finding a provider who listens deeply and supports you in the way you deserve. Thank you again for your honesty — it matters more than you know. Warmly, Lindsey
