I've shopped in a few REI's but received the best customer service at the Keizer/Salem Oregon REI. Julie, noticed that I was wandering around looking a bit lost in the backpack section and offered to help. Now, I'm a 68 year old, out of shape granny so I'm not exactly your typical big spender customer stereotype. Julie, however, listened to what I needed, took me over to the backpack fitting area and spent a good 45 minutes explaining ALL that i needed to know about purchasing a good day pack. I purchased one on sale, she fitted it to me, she showed me how to pack it and never tried to oversell. I'm sending all my friends to Keizer (which is a 4 hour drive away) and they will be asking for Julie.

been member since 2019 and free shipping and 1yr returns for members bonus i enjoy their fast shipping.. online have more variety than in store locations inc rei outlets. i recommend this place for no budget fast trip around places you dont know with good designers for outdoor wear

Today I talked to a gentleman, Patrick Degree. He answered the phone when I called 800-426-4840. I can’t rave enough how helpful he was. If I could give him 10 stars I would! I really like REI AND LIKE THE PEOPLE THEY EMPLOY.

Their stores are wonderful, wonderfully designed and full of all kinds of outdoors clothing and equipment and more. The membership model is great too, with part of your purchases back every year. REI has been around forever too, and it’s not about to get bought by some private equity firm who’d suck out all the capital and goodwill as they run it into the ground. The only bad thing I can say about REI is that I don’t get to visit and take advantage of it all enough. I’m amazed at some of the bad reviews here, since REI is anything but a scam, but people who’ve had bad experiences need a way to complain too.

We purchased our first Daypacks on Saturday 3/8 and the customer experience and knowledge that we got from Ms. Jennie was above 5 stars. Going on our first Camino de Santiago, we shopped around and REI (Willowbrook) was best choice for our gear. It was a busy day in the Backpack area and we finally got Jennie to fit us with the right packs, she made adjustments as needed and put us through the “weight test”, walked throughout the store and made sure we were comfortable with our packs. She definitely knows her gear and make a customer happy. Thanks Jennie

I love REI. I purchase most of all my outdoor stuff from REI. just today I purchased a $400 pair of hiking boots. I think that certain retail needs a reminding of who spins their clocks. At the very least remind them to say "Thank you."

Been going here over past year. Love it, amazing place and customer service is amazing. I can’t say enough good stuff about how they make things right and help you, not sure what’s going on with negative reviews but I think they are a great company.
