We love our barrel sauna!
We purchased a 6ft Barrel Sauna from Redwood Outdoors in Fall 2024 and are so happy we did! It has been an incredible addition to our life, especially living in the high elevation mountains with long winters. We decided to purchase the 8kW Harvia Spirit Wifi Heater to heat our sauna and we're glad we did. It is so nice to be able to turn it on from our phones when we are leaving skiing and have it warm when we get home. Having the higher power heater when it's routinely single digits or below zero here helps with heating up quickly too. The 6 ft sauna is advertised as a 6 person sauna but it really is more of a 4 person and is really comfy with 2 people. We've squeezed 5 in ours and it was cozy! One thing we didn't realize until we got the heater is that the control box for the wifi heater cannot be placed on the outside of the sauna if you live in an environment where it gets below 32 degrees so we had to work with our electrician to work out a way for it to be moved inside our garage. Just added a bit more work and confusion. One thing that has happened to our sauna is that one of the hinges on the door broke within a few months of using it. Redwood Outdoors was great and sent us new hinges right away. Overall we love our sauna and our new little spa zone so much! We made ourselves a cold plunge with a stock tank and a stock tank de-icer and the cold therapy is truly a must to go along with the heat!
