EXTREMELY TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE. I checked in here to be able to visit with my 2 small grandchildren & my daughter during Christmas vacation. 1st off the lady at front desk said I could come early like now. I said I had to wait for the babies to get dressed. I arrived at 2:00 pm same lady now said need half hour for room to be cleaned. So we all 4 sat in the car in parking lot . Then at 2:30 she said they are still cleaning our room. At 2:45 pm I was told they still cleaning the room. 3:00 pm I spoke to new lady at front desk. They were having shift change she so the 1st lady that I've been talking with. She told the 2nd lady who was now coming on duty. That 1st lady already had a room put aside for me. 2nd lady asked for me to swipe my card for payment. I told her that I had paid online. She said she did not have my payment yet. Frustrated from waiting already so long. I swiped my card. My bank sent me an immediate suspicious activity alert. Red Roof Inn had 2 totally different charges for me for this same date of check in. I showed the lady at front desk the alert with the two different charges. She said that she didn't know what the 2nd charge was for??? I went back and forth with the front desk clerk and my bank for an hour. Trying to get this double charging issue straightened out. Finally found out the lady at front desk should have never entered in a charge while I was at front desk. Because I pulled up my confirmation email and showed it to her. Now it's showing on my online bank account where she charged me here at the hotel. Now that charge has been reversed. And only the charge for my initial reservation is showing on my bank account online. Finally after all this time she gives me the room key. My family and I go inside the room and we were shocked. The garbage can was FULL of garbage. There was food & drinks on the tables. There was NO TOLIET paper in the room at all. I threw the other tables trash into the trash can . And went and got toliet paper from same lady at front desk. Around 4:00 pm the maid JUST NOW came to clean the room for the DAY???? But I had been waiting since 2 :00 pm out in car because they said my room was being cleaned( LIED ) so she left. After about 1 hour a strange man knocked on the door. Asked my daughter was her name Cutie? He thought she was a prostitute that he was looking for. My daughter told him wrong room. We thought it was a mistake. About half hour later another man knocked on door. Looking for a prostitute again. We realized this was not a mistake. So we grabbed our things and the babies. We ran out the door scared. I gave lady at front desk the key. She asked was I leaving so soon because I had just arrived only a couple of hours ago. I said yes I'm leaving and ran out. I will never ever come back here again. I only choose this place online because it was close to where my daughter was. And because they allow smoking inside of their rooms. But this Red Roof Inn has to much going on.

I had the worst stay here in red roof Inn Jessup Maryland we booked it through priceline and for some reason since my ID was expired I had a document stating that the ID is still valid and can be used for a photo identification but they had horrible customer service and the front rude people both in the afternoon and evening give us a crappy room that smelled of cigarettes and the towels are bad either way we stayed with them a couple of times and the third timeThey said that we are no longer welcome there because I had given them a crappy one star review and owner read the survey which is supposed to be anonymous and blacklisted me from staying there ever again I contacted customer support on priceline and they could not do anything about it and also contacted corporate I have yet to receive a reply from them I would not recommend staying at this establishment ever

I recently stayed at Hometowne Studio in Sharonville, Ohio (a Red Roof property). Unfortunately our experience was awful. The staff was rude. First we were given the wrong room and we had to switch. The accommodations are OK for the price but overall very shabby (I've stayed at way better motels for the same price). It seems as if, overall, they cut corners. And the worst part was we had to evacuate for a fire twice, once when there was an actual fire two doors down from us. We decided to check out for safety concerns BUT THEY WOULDN'T REFUND OUR TWO REMAINING NIGHTS. I couldn't believe that was the level of customer service -- not letting you cancel in the event of a fire. In fact, they were rude to me when I asked. I will never stay here or the Red Roof in general. It's a shame.

Redi rewards program sucks. Saved up point for several years. Go to log in to use them and find they are gone... Lack of use over a 14 month period (COVID). Why bother with a program when you can't save the points.

I have visited this hotel on several occasions and this is the worst stay ever. I know this is Covid-19 time so I did check to see if the hotel had changed policy regarding cleaning the room. Some hotels have go Eco green and supply you with enough supplies for your stay, that is not the case here. They clean the daily. The cleaning is not that great. The supplies were not restocked and trash was left in the room. Glad that the blanket that was stained and on the bed before we got there was changed as we requested. Social distancing is not being practiced nor mask wearing by guest. There was a party going on last night all the way up into the early morning hours. Cameras are on the floors and I know that the movement in the hallway was seen. I will not be staying there again. I will go somewhere else.

Stayed at Fredericksburg South VA location on Jefferson Davis Highway. Had a review rating of 2, they are LUCKY to get that. Really wanted a first floor room for the 2 of us, neither of us able to do steps well. But ALL beds on first floor are just 1 king. they offered us a room with a fold out bed. We went to check it out, horrible worn out bed and fold out, dingy lumpy mattresses. When we pulled the fold out bed open, there was a bong from someone else's stay under in, so active drug use. Took a second floor room, Dingy, dirty, lumpy mattresses, plaster in bathroom falling out, and to top it off, a USED DIRTY wash cloth hanging in shower from previous guest. So much for extra cleaning for COVID issues. GROSS

The clerk at the counter in Myrtle Beach was abbrasive, argumetative and even blamed me for not visiting the front desk to extend my stay.... even though I called their # on their website 6:30 AM that morning. They jacked my rate X3 -- I only travel 30 weeks a year.. Red Roof - you lost my business.

We stayed at the reed roof in Victorville Ca on 8/30/20 this place needs to be torn down and start over it was very dirty we had no towels to dry are hands after using the bathroom. The comforter had cigarette burns all over it. It look like they dumped a gallon of pain in the bathtub. The floors where all broken. Very awful will never stay there again!!! Front desk staff was rude also!!
