The reduction of ambient noise is amazing during auscultations. This stethoscope is so powerful. I can hear bowel sounds at S1. Lol! My assessments are much more rapid and clear. I would definitely recommend this stethoscope to anyone providing direct patient care- especially in an acute care setting. It is a game changer.

I'm In vet school and had a the littman classic se 2. It wasn't quite giving me the sound quality I wanted during clinical rotations and after borrowing a doctors stethoscope one day I knew I needed an upgrade. This one is the best. Don't waste your money on the less expensive one like me.
