I had occasion to use this software for CDs which were over a decade old. It performed flawlessly, is easy to use, intuitive and for a free tool, is extremely good. I would have no hesitation to recommend it to anyone struggling to read old or damaged media.

I had a DVD with holiday photos from 2005 which would allow me to see large icons in Windows Explorer but I couldn't open the fiiles or copy them to my hard drive because the CD was scratched to buggery. The software managed to get back 95% of the photos on the disk. It took several hours but it was worth the wait because quite frankly I didn't think anything was going to get ANY of those files back for me.

like an idiot i ejected the OST-file out of outlook at my girlfriend's. so she couldn't access her mails, calendar etc. befor she left me I found this tool, started the trial version which showed me all the (nearly) lost files - and suggested to buy. which I did. my girlfriend's still by my side. i'm happy! :)
