I have been using different cashback websites for a long time and consider myself now an expert in earning cashback. I know how to activate them, what actions to avoid in order to prevent failed tracking, how to submit missed cashback claims, all the rules you learn from experience. RebatesMe will still make up all kinds of excuses to avoid paying by blaming it on your end. I was able to save more than $500 over the years using different cashback websites. RebatesMe was not one of them. They always fail to pay, all my transactions are either "pending" or "pending investigation." Almost no transactions are tracked automatically. You have to submit everything by yourself. Even after lodging claims, they always come back with the same excuse that my cashback wasn't approved by the retailer. They stall everything so long until you forget. Several months later, they say "they contacted the retailer but the retailers denied" and you have to accept because time has passed too much for you to contact the retailer yourself regarding the issue. Don't get fooled by their $10 referral/signup bonus, because you will never be able to meet the standards within a year, with all their procrastinations. I have more than enough cashback transactions to meet their standards, but still cannot get the bonus because all of them are still "pending." Now I only have a month left to meet that bonus because I have $0 payable cashback and $17 pending cashback that will never be transferred to payable cashback. I use Cashback Monitor all the time to compare cashbacks by websites. I know RebatesMe has a decent rate a lot of the times than others. However, use the alternatives because at the end of the day, none of those higher rates matter if you don't get paid at all. Use other big cashback websites like RetailMeNot, Rakuten/Shopstyle, Extrabux, or Topcashback. Either of these will cover the store you are using to shop through RebatesMe. They might have 1~5% lower rates sometime, but at least they pay. We should consider that the cashback RebatesMe gives you is not free money. They earn money from the stores through your purchase. But every time, the purchases are tracked but cashback payments are stalled from this website. And if they're denying your purchase every time, it's sketchy. Now I don't even believe their excuse blaming the retailers failure to track the transaction. This website is a scam.
