I've worked with them for years, found out after June, they weren't sending out checks anymore. A weekly email said a check was in the mail, but I didn't recieve them for months. They didn't respond to queries about checks not recieved. Eventually things got back on track but took months to recieve 12 checks due to me. If you cannot afford to wait for a payment for a rebate, try a different site.

3/28/25 UPDATE It has been over a year since I wrote my original review below, and I am revising it with a more positive rating (from 1 star to 3 stars) with the following comments: • A few Amazon merchants continue to sell on RebateKey despite violating Amazon's terms. That said, those merchants have continued to make their Rebatekey payouts reliably. I've cautiously made several purchases since 2023 (Amazon only) and have not had any further issues. • It appears that Rebatekey may be doing a better job of screening sellers on its site, as I have not seen any suspicious sales like the ones that got my PayPal account closed back in 2023. I’m therefore no longer recommending to avoid this site, but rather to stick with well-known merchants such as Amazon or Etsy (the primary two you will see on the site), and don’t purchase any more products than you could afford to get stuck with if, for example, in a worst-case scenario the site suddenly shuts down without making payments. • Since my last review, I have not needed to contact customer service, so I can’t comment on whether that has improved, but the fact that I haven’t needed to contact them is a good sign. BOTTOM LINE: Needless to say, getting my PayPal account shut down back in 2023 as a result of using the site left me with a very negative view of Rebatekey; however, in retrospect, this was also due to PayPal being ultra-sensitive to users that they perceive are violating their terms (even if it happened unwittingly, like it did to me). The number of worthwhile deals at Rebatekey is a fraction of what it was several years ago, which makes me question how long the site will remain active; however, for the time being, rebates (from Amazon at least) are being received without issue. ========================= Original Review from January 7, 2024: As many reviewers have noted, this used to be a reliably profitable site for obtaining quality goods on Amazon for free (or at deeply discounted prices). However, in late 2021, Amazon advised that sellers providing off-Amazon rebates is against their TOS, and Rebatekey's main pipeline of products almost entirely disappeared. More concerning than the lack of products is that using Rebatekey caused my PayPal account to be shut down permanently. I suddenly stopped receiving my payouts at PayPal, and Rebatekey said they were aware of the problem and working to fix it. Shortly thereafter, I got an email from PayPal saying I could no longer use their service. I had used Rebatekey to purchase from a merchant (non-Amazon) who was engaged in a Ponzi scheme (unknown to me at the time), and that purchase caused me (and many others, according to online posts) to be banned for life from PayPal. Another criticism that others have reported here is that customer service is poor. You can find a phone number for them online, but if you call that, you will get an automated message telling you that all queries need to be submitted by email, and responses to those emails are extremely slow, requiring multiple follow-ups. My last customer service experience was a bounced payout check (yet another strike against the service).

I used to use this Rebatekey often, but not anymore. Now there are items with very inflated "original" prices. Backpacks with Original Prices of $700! Scarves at $300! These are not designers brands, these are brands that I can't find elsewhere online, but I am expected to believe that they are worth more than Coach and Kate Spade.

The pros of this site are that they have a very wide selection of great products to choose from and it is not just Amazon products, although I have never bought from any other of the vendors I do see other vendors on the site. Almost all of their deals are rebates, but on occasion you will see discount coupons, but the coupons are not all that great of deals. The rebates however are steep when you get them, rarely are they free but still fairly good. This is in my opinion also the best site for vitamins if you are looking for them. They do pay, but the downside is the payment process is a long wait. They make you wait out the return period plus 4 or 5 days which is usually around 35 days depending on the merchant. It is quicker if you select to be paid by giftcard and with some gift cards like Uber there is a minimum payout so you have to build it up. But with amazon you can get paid immediately if you chose a giftcard with them even if your rebate is only $2.00. There are four downsides that I see from this site. The biggest one is that I found a lot of bait and switch merchants. When you pick the product there is no direct link to click on to buy it. You are usually on a “mission” to locate the product. So you have to search for it by name, price picture and vendor. Recently I did just that, it was the same vendor on the page on amazon, price, product picture, etc. But when I submitted it to Rebatekey the actual vendor told me I did not purchase it from them it was some third party pretending to be them selling their merchandise. I sent them a copy of a screen shot of the exact page I purchased it from showing it was them, but they were corrected for some odd reason my receipt showed a different vendor. I got curious so I tried it with a few of the other listings and sure enough when you search the products it shows up looking exactly the same, same price, but in a tiny little corner different vendor. Except in my case it said the same exact vendor. The vendor denied my rebate and when I tried to return the item the actual seller refused it and now I am stuck. I have messaged Rebatekey and no response. Still waiting out the 30 days so I will see what happens. But I am not sure if this is some sort of scam the sellers are running but it is very odd to see. The second thing is that although RebateKey makes it clear you do not have to leave reviews and that you should let them know if any seller pressures you to do so, at least 50% of their sellers pressures you to do so, before you even receive the product you receive something asking you for a review if you liked the product. I have no problem reviewing good products, but it is specifically against Amazon’s terms to provide reviews in such a manner and so I don’t do it. When you message RebateKey to tell them they ignore you, and that’s my third issue they are not responsive at all. The fourth one is horrible search mechanism. I presume it’s because certain vendors pay to get their listing at the top. But if for example I search for face scrubber, I get tea bags and shoes, that’s not very helpful. I think it’s a good site, but with some caution to be taken if using.
