We never expected the course to be as effective as it was. Our (5) year old didn't really enjoy learning sight words and we really didn't know the best way to teach him, so i am sure it wasn't fun for him. During the 60 mins of class, the instructor was able to fully engage the kids. It was an eye opener for us parents. After the last class, he came home and asked if he could read us a story and was able to read the "Let's Read" book from front to back. And now he reads it every day and stated read other book by himself. And reading sight words has become a breeze. We as parents also learned how to break up 60 mins to make other things fun for him too. So, for us it was very educational and will change how we interact with him going forward. Extremely happy we decided to spend the money on this. Exceeded our expectations!

The program was amazing and the teachers were just as amazing. It was money well spent and invested. My boys looked forward to attending class and completing their homework but they especially like reading their books. Thank you to Mrs. Megan Martinez our sons 7th grade teacher. She had a passion for teaching this subject and it showed in how fun she made her class!

Excellent! My daughter was looking forward to read her books and take the online class. Her favorite was the phonics lessons and the fun spelling activities.

Great program to help a child learn how to comprehend what they have read. The reading books was great for my son. The decoding of words was right on target. I felt that 5 weeks was not enough for a child to become a lover of reading. If child had to make up a class and the schedule provided did not work an independent study is optional which I feel is not appropriate for a 8 year child.

The books chosen to read were appropriate (reading-wise) and enjoyable. The helper-lady created an upbeat atmosphere. Wordy and Bookman were fun, helpful, and easy to follow. The quizzes, games, etc. were pretty fun to complete as well. Overall, it has been a huge boost in he reading development.

My teacher, Miss Jennifer was very nice and interactive. She made the class and learning fun. I was in a 5th-8th grade speed reading/comprehension class in Statesville, NC. I really enjoyed our book "Banner in the Sky" as well. This was my 2nd time taking a Reading Development summer camp. The first time was 2 years ago. This time was even better because of my teacher and how much she went over things in class. The books we read are good. The assignments are challenging for some but not so much for others. I'm in the AIG program at my school though. My mom sends me to keep my mind sharp over the summer. I would definitely recommend the camp.

Our teacher made reading fun and interactive. The program was also very well put together so that we could continue the progress at home during the week. Will definitely be using what we learned for quite some time.

This reading program was exactly what we were looking for. It focused on reading comprehension for fiction and non-fiction alike, with small group discussions in class and engaging computer lessons at home. My son's teacher was very knowledgeable in reading instruction and made each session challenging and fun. I was impressed from beginning to end, and I know this gave my son a jump-start for being a stronger reader this year.
