the online sessions were good BUT...
the online sessions were good, the online content was good but my student found them kind of boring. I wish there were were some kind of games or other fun activity to engage or entertain students so they were more excited to do the lessons during the week (between classes).

This is an excellent program
This is an excellent program. Two of my sons (entering 3rd and 5th) took the online program during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their teachers were outstanding. They were able to keep my boys engaged for the entire class and for once there wasn’t a fight to read. The books that were chosen were great... especially my entering 5th grader who read the lion the witch and the wardrobe as well as Tuck Everlasting, two of my favorites from his age. The daily assignments were very helpful in regards to reading fluency, comprehension, and decoding. Overall I am very impressed.

Reading Program experience
It was very fun doing online lessons/classes because i have learned a lot such as how to read faster and some writing skills to make my writing much better!

Worst Experience
This has been the worst experience of my life. We registered on 18th May, paid the shipping of $12 and we haven't gotten our material till 15th June. All I hear from them is material is on its way from USPS even though USPS still hasn't received the material from UPS. Total waste of time.

Hi NK, I am sorry that your time in the program has been negatively affected by shipping delays and I understand your frustration. We know that students must have their books and materials to get the most out of our programs, so we’ve adjusted our shipping schedule to account for new challenges that carriers like the USPS are facing. As a backup, we also provide digital materials that students can use until carriers are able to make the final delivery. My son is only 5 but now on first-grade…
My son is only 5 but now on first-grade readers class. He enjoys seeing other kids during live online classes. He likes the fact that the teachers let him answer during question and answer portions of the class. He is now a very confident reader, even at the grocery store or while driving he will read ads and will say "mommy, I can read that!" His preschool teacher told me that they rarely have a preschooler that reads already so they think he will just breeze through kindergarten and as a mom that is very encouraging :)

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. They waited until the day before my son’s first online session to disclose, via email, that it would be recorded. If I knew the sessions were recorded, I would not have registered for the course. I contacted customer service to voice my concerns. I was assured that I would be contacted by a supervisor the following Monday to discuss my concerns. I had to call customer service repeatedly for four days (Monday through Thursday) and speak to several different representatives before a supervisor finally called me back with a solution. What they offered did not address my long term concerns so I ultimately requested a refund. The program is promising however, beware if you have an issue to discuss with customer service. Based on their customer service alone, I will not sign my son up for this course again even if it is in-person.

Hi Mica, I apologize that our team took too long to address your concerns about program recordings. Everything we do is aimed at providing students with a memorable and meaningful class experience. Part of that is ensuring that our teachers are teaching at the level of excellence that we expect. We use recordings of online classes internally to provide teachers with ongoing training and keep them accountable. We never share recordings with outside organizations, and we delete them after each program is over.
