For the last several weeks a lovely author's consultant named Marj Meting has been diligently trying to speak with me about promoting my first book Adversity Builds Character. As a professionally published author for the last seven years, I have been approached numerous times by publishing/consulting firms. However, I have been deeply impressed by Marj's professionalism, courtesy & patience. XLibris, IUniverse, Reader's Favorite, Reader.com, etc...are all excellent companies with equally persistent agents. The remarkable distinction about Ms. Metig is her demeanor; her equally persistent nature aside, Marj's approach was never insistent or off-putting. Something about her kind & heartwarming voice enveloped me to the point that I truly wanted to provide her the opportunity to offer her sales-pitch. Throughout our nearly 90-minute phone conversation, she made every attempt to ensure that I carefully understood the details of her Reader's Magnet proposal. Though this is typical of every consulting agent I've ever dealt with, Marj's was a sincere effort to help me cope with her Phillipino accent. Though it was never a real problem for me personally, undoubtedly through past experience I'm sure she was keenly aware it might present others some difficulty. Kudos to Ms. Meting for her perceptiveness! Regardless of any difficulty she may have felt, Marj graciously pressed on with exquisite professionalism. Though I was unable to utilize Reader's Magnate's extremely reasonably priced promotional offer, Marj Meting so thoroughly impressed me with her quite amiable personality that her company, Reader's Magnate has earned high marks. Can be expensive, but in todays world you either write the same young adult dystopic fantast novel to get a traditional publisher, or go with a hybrid if youre just starting out. You get what you pay for, which is a fantastic team that wants nothing but the best for you. For one service, I changed my mind and got a complete refund without hestiration or complaint. Theres a lot of false informatiom out there regarding Readers Magnet, and a lot of bitter people who don't understand the industry. 10/10 would work with them again.
