Disappointing experience
I was invited via LinkedIn to submit an article introducing myself (as an author) on Readers Magnet. I was really excited and had hoped to engage with other authors and be part of a writing community, but after creating the account, waiting for access and working on getting it submitted and published, there was nothing. No reactions, no comments, no likes or any kind of activity to let me know that people had read the article at all. In fact, after scrolling the page, there were tons of other authors articles and no activity pertaining to them either. It feels as though I typed up an assignment and held it out the car window and let go. Maybe this would work better on social media, so that writers get some reactions and comments. I was quite disappointed that I worked hard on something and it's just sitting there, in the void. I won't be doing this again, as it was a waste of time and effort. If I work on a book and eventually publish it, at least then there's a chance of people buying it. I am disappointed but I learned to value myself & my time more.
