On Their Way ...
I was contacted by ReadersMagnet to write an article about my childrens' book "My Writer" - a story for 6 to 10 year olds which aims to ignite an interest in Creative Writing. Despite some confusion initially due to various technical gliches, the article appeared within a couple of days of my submitting it and it looks very good in the Author's Lounge. I have now had time to take a look at their website, which is, by and large, clear, precise and well laid out. They offer various self-publishing packages with even the most basic offering a good range of services. My only niggles are that there are no idictions (that I could find) as to how much the services cost. I understand that such information could put authors off, but even a basic guide price would help them to decide whether or not the services are for them. Also, their page that gives you the chance to order their self-publishing guide is in a mess and not displaying properly, with some sentances overprinting on others and information boxes doubling up, so clearly that needs tidying. Having said that however they are a relatively new company and there are bound to be some teething problems so I am sure they will sort these in time. It is obviously a company with the best of intentions where writers are concerned and I feel they are on their way to becoming an important source for writers just starting out and I wish them well.
