Part Failed Less Than One Day After Install
We replaced our pool heater with model P-R266A-EN-X last Friday. Less than one day later the unit was gushing water and I had to shut the whole pool down until my pool service could come on Monday morning. On Monday, I found out the drain plug failed, just broke in two, within one day of the install. I contacted Raypak and they would send me a drain plug but would not help me with the service charges of $110 billed by my pool service. I was told to use their chosen warranty service people in the future. In order to ask for service I needed to register the unit, provide proof of installation by a third party, and then wait until they get back to me. This was not going to happen on a weekend. I think they should have stood by their product and agreed to help cover the cost of my service call. There should be no reason for any parts to fail in less that one day! It's a disappointing start and I hope it is not an indicator of future issues with this unit!
