Horrific experience. I rarely take the time to leave a review, but buyers need to be aware. Contingencies weren’t met on time, and communication was poor, with excuse after excuse as to why the loan hadn’t closed. The manager wouldn’t even return our call to step in and help. We closed six days late, which resulted in a $5,000 penalty. Lender: Drew Gebhart. Manager: Enrique Leon.

My agent was available throughe every step of process. The rate I got was in accordance and very attractive compared to the going prime rate. The process went very smoothly. I'm very satisfied with the outcome.

I wish I could give it a zero. This company made the buyer lose a bunch of money. No response. Run as fast as you can, we had the nightmare of working with Ryan West. He never did anything, no answer, multiple phone calls, nothing....Run as fast as you can from this company. Pick a local lender that can actually close the deal

BIG mistake on my part to engage with Rate. They are total BSers and will waste your time. We were asking for a modest mortgage to buy a condo, we were pressed for time and did not wanted to use our savings. Close to finalizing the loan, they found some bs excuse to move to "another investor group for funding", which resulted in a higher interest rate and requests for more statements and information. Stalled, stalled, stalled, close date approaching and no final answer from them. We pulled the plug and self funded. I am putting a formal complaint with Beneplace at my employer so that they are removed from the roster

Guaranteed Rate came recommended via a Realtor. Refinance loan application process was smooth. But then suddenly all communication came to a sudden halt. No texts and no emails were answered when I questioned some of the closing costs on the loan application. This is a red flag. Do not use this mortgage company. What's ironic is this statement on their website, "Need to connect? I'm always available."

I had to close in 45 days, and Brady and his team at Rate.com were super efficient and were able to meet my short timeframe. Everyone on his team was great to work with, smart and really knowledgeable about the loan closing process.

They did a hard pull on my credit by mistake instead of a soft pull, then two more… they never sent me a loan disclosure or estimate, then when I was asking for an appraisal, the guy said that his system wasn’t generating an approval for some reason, now I will have to look for another lender asap due to incompetent slow people who don’t know what they are doing. And not to mention the pain it was to get a reply any time I had to send something in.
