By far, the worst crypto onboarding experience I ever had !!
App is so badly done, I don't even want to continue trying to scan my documents. (Literally impossible to scan a simple passport photo)
Will DEFINITELY not use Rain, and I don't recommend you use it.

Their spreads are simply crazy!!
Their spreads are simply crazy!!! also, they charged me $17 for a transfer that normally costs $1. Will never use it again, thats for sure. Be careful!
Also, on the app they don't let you know through which chain the crypto is being sent, dangerous for beginners. Very bad experience.
Also, they don't have a google page, which seems shady.

I am a customer of Rain in Bahrain,even though the app has a nice simple interface which is easy to use, there are some issues everyone should know:
1. Company says they charge 0% fees that is because they add their margin when you buy the coin. So for e.g. if u buy a coin with Market value 100, then the transaction buying price will be 105, in my experience they charge approx 5% as margin, so if you sell again it will give you 5% less. So on an average you need 10% gains just to breakeven on the transaction. I appreciate platforms like binance which declare their fees upfront and it is negligible. You can use rain for long term investment maybe.
2. Lately, their app won't let me buy when I raise with CS, they said delete the app and reinstall, just updating the app won't solve the problem. This is highly unprofessional for a trading platform. This is the first time any app has asked me to delete and reinstall. Generally any app would just fix the bug in an update. Now I feel uncofortable, what if in a critical moment you want to sell and it won't let you?

Dear team.
I am in KSA, an expact. I have been trying to login and attach my identity documents on Rain app.
The documents always gets rejected and i have been asked to submit physical card picture.
But now in KSA the residential permits for expact gets updated at back end and we get updates in soft copy and we don't get any physical cards no more.
Your system on Rain app does not accept any softcopy and i have physical card with old expiry.
If the ksa govt doesn't issue new physical cards with updated expiry than how am I suppose to progress with my Rain account.
Either update the system or have some integrated way to verify the identity
Please let me know if the action. I contacted central bank Bahrain complain office and updated them.
They informed me to put into writing to you guys and then escalate them if still issue is unresolved.
So today I have put it into writing. Waiting for apt reply.
In short, if a physical card is issued no more how can I verify my residential status being an expact.
I am a banker too, all I want is to open an account and follow up with regulations.

Therefore a physical ID is mandatory to submit during the registration process, you can submit the physical expired ID through Rain app/web and upload the Iqama screenshot from the Absher app by replying to this email in order to raise it to the responsible team.

The swap fee are too high not free!
The swap fee are too high! Their website is showing 0% fee when in fact it is not! You will see your money go down when using their platform. Such a shady platform. I transfer all my coins to Binance after the bad experience. Not recommended!

Hello Yusop, Rain has 0% trading fees for fiat and card buys, as well as 0% swap fees. There are no fees for the storage of cryptocurrencies on Rain.
There are also no fees on deposits; you are credited what is received in Rain bank account. However, corresponding banks may charge an international wire transfer fee. Rain does not collect any part of this fee.
Rain does not charge any withdrawal fees on transfers within Bahrain and charges a flat fee of 50 Saudi Riyals or equivalent. Corresponding banks may charge additional fees. Rain does not collect any part of these fees.

The company needs to update their trading and swaping fee values, It's not 0%
They claim it to be 0% but it's actually -5% trading fee's for most of their coins.
You can verify the trading fee is not 0 By swaping a stable coin like tether to be 1USD.
Swap back and forth between fiat and watch your money go down, hence it's not 0% trading fees.
They should update their tether swaping fee's to 0% atleast, they are being very shady by claiming it to be 0%. Which would make customers feel like their taking profit from their swaps overtime, it will be called out.

The prices on our platform are inclusive of sourcing prices as well as foreign exchange prices.
What sourcing prices means is that in order for Rain to make these coins available to you, Rain would purchase these coins in US dollars from an external provider first. So, when we source the coins for you, they come at a certain price set by the provider.
