So this lady, Laura Alberti supposedly, someone messaged me starting off as a very nice conversation. Gave me their life story, gained my trust and had me try investigating once they knew I had quite a bit of crypto. Supposedly her uncle had a team of people that monitor the market to Look at the best time to trade longs and shorts on gold. First trade I Made $111 dollars in 30 seconds. They had me withdraw the profit back to Coinbase which I thought was awesome. So next trade I put in a few thousand more crypto and Made Some more profits. I thought I was doing something amazing with this person‘s help. They convinced me to keep adding more and more crypto to get me up to the next tier or the next level so that I can make higher trades and more profits. And because I trusted this person, and I saw that I could take money and put it in and also withdraw it. I thought I was safe. After I put in thousands of dollars worth of crypto I needed to do a $15,000 withdrawal because I pulled money out of an account that I should not have touched. As soon as I did that, it triggered a humongous tax response. They said if I didn’t pay $46,000 to them that I would be charged a 5% penalty daily after the 30 day notice. I realize now that I was scammed because they would not let me use the profits to pay for the taxes and I’ve never heard of any legitimate company that charge taxes on profits until the following tax year. This company is not legitimate and it’s not in the United States or it would be regulated. So I strongly suggest that anyone reading this stay away from these people because it is a scam. They are holding your money. They are hijacking it and you will never get it back. Don’t believe anything that they tell you because I’ve been back-and-forth with her supposed to customer service and they won’t budge. I have reported all this to the IRS, to the FBI and my local senator. I’ve also reported it to my local police jurisdiction. Please if you’re reading this don’t get involved with them Because it is truly a scam. The platform does look very legitimate, but you’ll never get your money back ever.

I've really been stuck on this company. After supposably getting a big return and trying to withdraw, I got hit with a huge tax bill. OK, so even after I struggled to come up with an enormous amount of money to pay that, I am then hit with the need to pay an additional huge additional fee to "upgrade to VIP status", which I simply can't afford. So now I'm stuck with all my money locked with no way out.

I am a novice crypto person and I had a private mentor that did good trades and made good profit. Then I decided I wanted out. She had me do a withdrawal of all funds and Rain accepted the referral but would not allow my money to be sent to my bank account. Rain said there was a "tax" but would not say for whom received the tax. Nothing. I caved and paid the 11,073 which was a couple days later than the deadline that Rain establishes. They could not tell me why. They also said that I had to pay it again because I overpaid. I told them this was extremely unprofessional and boarder line a scam. They accepted my payment but would not consider the tax paid until "penalties" are paid. Being the rookie I truly have no idea how to work my way though 3 platforms to get to Rain. I asked for a break and they wouldn't. After another bad back and forth they demanded that I pay additional tax money. Once again I was forced to pay more or not get any of the trading money I put in along with multiple "fees" of which are not anywhere on the website. Once the tax bs was finally corrected according to Rain. Then they said in order for my withdrawal to be sent to my bank account I was told more bs. They said that the money was now at the CBP (Customs and Boarder Protection) stating that the CBP requires a fee of "holding" money. They say that CBP will be vetting me to make sure I wasn't bringing funny money essentially. I asked several times to provide me with a legal rule that says this. Nothing. Pay or CBP will keep the money for other things. Same crap happened with this process. I paid the $15,000 plus and of course got it to Rain the transaction fees made it so that wat they were asking for wasn't enough. Now the penalty ripoff keeps happening. So I sent what was to be the final money going to CBP. Now they are saying another penalty for being late that was due to Rain's never ending requirement of sending for more money. Now I am all locked up again with no access to anymore money to put in. Has anyone had success in getting an attorney to go after these people? The whole process has been very complicated and I do not know how to get out of the scam. As a former business owner I would have been out of business in a matter of 6 months had I treated any customer the way Rain does. If you have any ideas on how to get back my money. I would greatly appreciate any advice any of you other disgruntled customers. I doubt that I will hear from Rain based on how they have treated me. I am now going to lose in excess of $100k USD. I am pissed off at the least...This went on for 6 weeks. Today was the final straw with Rain saying I have to pay a $4,600 penalty. Rain, is your reply and the word Taxi was a typo. Did you mean to say TAX

Ihad tried to withdrawmy funds using Bitcoin to send to CashApp. They said it triggered a tax hold. I was told that it must be paid to a Bitcoin address that they provided before they would release the funds. I asked the to just cancel my withdrawal request which the said that they couldn't. The also said that I couldn't use any crypto in my account to pay taxes with. (I still had funds that I didn't request to withdraw). How can they not stop a withdrawal request that hasn't been processed yet??? I had to take out a few loans to pay the tax. I had to get some extensions dates to pay and when I made the last payment, they hit me with a huge late fee. It was a little more than half what the tax was. I tried to contact them through their message service and of course it was down the whole day. When I finally got someone, I requested a waiver and they said that they couldn't intervene and that I had to pay the amount from their email. I requested to speak to a Supervisor to escalate the request up the chain and they just repeated that I had to pay what the email said and that "No one could interfere"! Not very professional and a borderline threat.

Be cautious when using Rain Exchange. It may seem appealing at first glance, but the hidden fees are outrageously high! I deposited $5,000 and after converting it to USDC, my portfolio was $120 short. I strongly recommend using other exchanges where fees are around $1 to $5. Losing $120 on such a small amount is absurd! I will never use this exchange again!

Rain claims "0% fees," but it’s a lie. They hide fees in a 5% spread (2.5% on buy/sell each way). Their excuses about sourcing and FX fees doesn't hold. Deceptive marketing to exploit customers. Avoid Rain, just use any other decent exhcange they all have 0,1%-0,2% trading fee.

Rain Exchange- RISK. Be WARE. This is a lengthy review so brace yourselves. When it comes to most crypto exchanges we know the customer service is typically average at best but Rain here has recently set the bar. I have been using RAIN for a year with adhoc transactions but recently made a deposit into my account which i utilized and transacted with. I used the funds between exchanges. A few days later Rain email me informing that my deposit was reversed by the bank because i entered an incorrect beneficiary name. This was surprising because I had already sent money to the same beneficiary name prior which wasnt reversed. To add to this, they stated this amount was reversed but i have not received the reversal in my account 2 weeks since and my bank has provided me with the SWIFT payment which i shared with RAIN exchange as proof of settlement. They have provided no evidence for the bank reversal. They have locked my account on a breach that happened on there side. It has been 2 weeks and all they can say is they are checking with the bank on there side. This is a HUGE risk, being that they claim they never received the funds by the bank but i was still able to transact. So whos money was i using on the exchange? Once this issue is resolved, which i am soon raising legal proceedings with soon if i am still waiting. I will close my account and utilize better regulated exchanges with safe protocols. Avoid for your benefit.

Tried withdrawing my funds and they kept asking for outrageous fees such as identification verification fee and blockchain fee. I would never use this ever again definitely a scam.
