Minor hiccups, excellent service
Asides minor hiccups with more detailed specs of their Docker & Linux runtime, I have to say Railway has served me and my company an excellent service. I keep reading reviews of outages & bad scaling, but in my experience it has been the opposite, we've had 100% uptime for a whole year with Railway, and only faced 2 minor outages related to deployments which were solved within an hour. The only change I found annoying is their move to IaC from their railway json file, but I can understand why, just wish we had been given more of a heads up. Looking at their roadmap, I think sticking around is best for us. Railway is incredibly rewarding if your team is conscious of performance and optimizations, we managed to reduce our bill from 200 dollars a month to just 20 on pro plan! Their SDKs & Agentic features are also very nice to sort out last minute production issues, and keeps the platform running smoothly. The only thing I'd really want from railway is the ability to download the volume backups or maybe export them to other services, we run a lot of database and volume backups in our platform and seeing them all on railway exclusively does worry us. Looking forward for many more years with Railway.
