⭐ 1 Star – Extremely disappointing experience I attended a conference at the Radisson RED Hotel Heathrow — ironically, an event for driving instructors! Despite following the correct procedure at the hotel to register my vehicle and ensure I wouldn’t receive a parking charge, I was subsequently issued a £60 parking fine. I contacted the hotel and, in early August, they admitted in writing that a mistake had been made and confirmed that a refund had been issued. However, I was told it could take up to 40 working days to receive the refund. Yes, you read that correctly — 40 working days! That timeframe has now passed, and I am still waiting for my money. What is particularly disappointing is the complete lack of communication. I have made numerous calls to the hotel, often without even being able to speak to anyone. Eventually, I managed to speak to someone in Manchester, who was very helpful but couldn't even get through to the hotel themselves because apparently the staff were "very busy." I was told a message would be passed on and that hopefully someone would contact me. The hotel has already admitted the mistake and confirmed that the refund is due, so why is it proving so difficult to actually get my money back? Mistakes happen, but the way this has been handled is simply unacceptable. Poor communication, repeated failed attempts to make contact, and now an overdue refund. One star is more than enough. Extremely poor customer service and a very disappointing experience.

RADISSON RED VIENNA Booked through the Radisson app, as I am a member of their loyalty programme. I arrived at the hotel with my mother, and the receptionist, who was actually a trainee, said she could not find my reservation, even after I gave her my booking number. After a good 10 minutes, she finally found my reservation, gave us the keys, and we went up to the room. As soon as we entered the room, I immediately realised it was the wrong one. I had explicitly requested a twin room during the booking process, not a double room. I went back down to reception and pointed out that they had given us the wrong room, apparently disregarding the requests made at the time of booking. They then asked us to wait in the lobby for another 15 minutes while they prepared a different room. After a while, the receptionist came over and informed us that the room was ready, but it was no longer on the 5th floor, but on the 1st floor. Fine, no problem — I only needed to sleep there anyway, and since I had booked a courtyard view, the change of floor was not a major issue. We went up to the room and noticed that it was a fake twin room, as it consisted of two single beds pushed together. At that point, I really did not feel like going back downstairs and changing rooms yet again — I had already had more than enough — so I went to the bathroom to get changed. That is when I noticed that the room was absolutely filthy. It looked as though it had been cleaned in a great hurry, if at all. I took photos and immediately prepared a claim, which I sent to the RH customer care team. I always check the cleanliness of hotel rooms, as I work in this field myself and therefore have a very trained eye when it comes to housekeeping standards. Another major point against the hotel is that, during check-in, we were given absolutely no information about Vienna. Nothing. Zero. It was basically: “Here are your keys, bye.” When I was leaving, I pointed out to reception that the room had been dirty and showed them the photos. Their only response was to offer us two welcome drinks. The bar was the only positive note.

Radisson Red Waterfront Cape Town. I am due to visit in September. I booked online directly with the hotel. I was shown a price that included taxes and service fees. I chose the pre pay option( so now unable to cancel) . I was then charged an addition £700 in taxes and service fees. This was not clear at checkout. When I phoned to complain I was basically told I should have noticed the additional charges before I paid! They are refusing to repay this duplicate cost for taxes and services. At best this is sharp practise and has put me off staying, but I have no choice unless I pay for another hotel! Very disappointed

Flexible cancellation?! Nonsense. Made a genuine mistake in the date selection which I noticed immediately and they basically stole my money. Caught in a game of ping pong with booking.com and Radisson Red shifting responsibility to the other. I will never use either again.

I was very disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. The main issue was the lack of hot water, which is a basic necessity that should never be unavailable. I reported this to the front desk during my stay and also followed up via email, but the response I received was simply an apology saying they would “take it on board.” Unfortunately, this felt like very poor customer service. There was no real attempt to resolve the issue during my stay, nor was there any offer of compensation or even an alternative solution. It gave the impression that customer satisfaction is not a priority. I made it clear to the hotel that I would be leaving feedback, as I believe other guests should be aware of how this situation was handled. Overall, the experience was frustrating and disappointing, and I expected a much higher standard of service.

Absolute disgrace. I've stayed at the Radisson Heathrow and Art'otel Hoxton, so I know the standards, but Radisson Red London Greenwich O2 is a health hazard. Checked out after 2 hours because the rooms were filthy. The Superior room stank so bad I felt sick, and I found hair in the bed plus thick dust everywhere. Four different rooms viewed of disappointment and dirt. When I complained, they showed us a "VIP" room that was even worse- yellowing toilet brush, stains on the walls and door handles, and a filthy bathroom. There were even used hygiene gloves left on the floor in the corridor. To top it off, we couldn't even use the lift because housekeeping had it blocked with laundry, so we had to walk down from the 4th floor. The receptionist just shook their head at us. Date night completely ruined and had to pay for a new hotel last minute. Still waiting for a full refund. Avoid.
