A worthy bucket list trip
The Quasar rep was at the Guayaquil airport to hand out the airline ticket and paper work just before departing for the Galapagos and I was greeted by the Evolution people and we were taken to the ship. There were 32 people on our ship, 10 kids 7-14 yo and 22 adults. We went snorkeling a few hours after we arrived, everything was provided. Everyday we went snorkeling and hiking and I saw almost everything that I wanted to see. Swimming with hammerhead and white tip sharks, the highlight for me was swimming with the seals. The hikes were dry and wet landings and we saw every bird native to the islands and even Calif flamingos plus the land iguanas, sea iguanas, and of course the huge land tortoises. Our guides Boli and Roberto were excellant they both have over 20 years experience being naturalists. I rarely eat 3 meals a day but I was there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and by day 4 I knew all my fellow passengers. The food was very good too and if you have a dietary restriction they do their very best to accommodate you. The crew were all friendly and helpful. If I decide to come back to tour the west islands I will definitely use Quasar again. I also got addicted to the cappuccino machine.
