the boat was very comfortable with lots of outdoor spaces to relax and very comfortable, spaceous rooms. The food was excellent and something different each day/each meal. The crew was happy, playful and professional and contributed positively to the tone of the ship. The wildlife was unparalleled (as expected) with the highlights being snorkeling and kayaking. I can't wait to do it all again.

What an exhilarating, memorable trip—we sailed on the M/Y Grace April 27—May 4, on the Northern itinerary ("Following Darwin's Trail") which took us to Fernandina, Isabela, Genovesa & other islands. Cannot say enough about our two naturalists, Rafael and Carolina. Both proved to be wonderful teachers, sharing their deep, detailed knowledge of the wildlife--and making sure we had a lot of fun along the way. The ship's crew was terrific as well, with the chef, pastry chef, and barman refueling us with delicious meals & drinks. As for the M/Y Grace itself, its relative smallness allowed the Captain to maneuver (sensitively!) among pods of dolphins one morning, and the next morning, off Fernandina, approach (sensitively!) a group of whales. Because of the old-school design of the Grace--with ample deck-space fore and aft--we had all gathered forward to witness the thrilling moment when a sperm whale swam directly under the bow (its path clearly visible underwater), and then breached just off the port side. While future passengers can't count on that sight to be repeated, it shows that the Grace is more than an elegant ship (although it is that too) -- it's an excellent expedition vessel. Would recommend this ship unreservedly.

The captain and crew worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort 24/7 during our week with them. Everyone was very friendly and at the same time totally professional. The key to the overall success of our trip on board the magnificent M/V Grace, however, was our extraordinary naturalist guides, Rapha and Walter. They were simply outstanding. Equal parts passionate, knowledgeable and good humored, these 2 guys made it their mission to make sure we had the trip of a lifetime. And did they succeed! They had a knack for finding the unexpected and all the while infused us with excitement but more importantly, respect for the Galapagos Islands. My wife and I have travelled extensively over the years and this trip was definitely one of the most memorable.

This was an incredible, one in a lifetime experience. Galapagos is a special, special place. The nature is beautiful, diverse and unique and animals allow humans to enjoy them in such close proximity that it is hard to comprehend unless you see it with your own eyes. In addition to it our time on Grace was fantastic. From the crew professionalism, friendliness, flexibility and eagerness to accomodate, to the history and stylishness of the boat to the great food. It was an experience to never forget. Special thanks to great guides we had Rafa and Walter. The wealth of knowledge and their patience and willingness to show, explain and answer questions is greatly appreciated. They went above and beyond all expectations. Now one and only complaint. We wanted to purchase a Grace shirt for the memory, but it was not available. In fact there was no suvenirs to take home with Grace emblem

We LOVED our Galapagos cruise. From the friendly and accommodating crew, the lovely boat, the wonderful naturalists, Raffa and Sam, and fabulous wildlife and snorkeling, it truly was the trip of a lifetime for us. We were in awe!! We have already recommended Quasar to those who have asked about our trip and will not hesitate to continue to recommend this cruise in the future. Now we just need to check out other Quasar destinations!

This was the most amazing trip - the adventure of a lifetime that I was dreaming of since childhood! The guides were so generous, taking us on explorations that catered to everyone's fitness level, and immersing us in fascinating lectures of history and science of the Galapagos Islands which made us a part of the evolution of the Universe as well as a part of Darwin's journey through the islands in search for answers to our roots... In addition the crew also organized several fun evenings with shows that surprised us in the most amazing ways!... They were so dedicated to our well being, fed us extremely well and healthy YUMMY food and treated us like family. I cannot imagine a more amazing adventure - where snorkeling meets hiking and sailing meets panga water slams - all with unimaginable nature encounters - and a schedule that accommodated it all so seamlessly, leaving us room to rest in between the intense explorations. To come so close to nature while feeling you are on board with Darwin, was truly the feat that no other tour or ship can offer!

The accommodations on the Evolution were very nice and staff was very attentive to making sure the room was always clean. Boli and Alex were exceptional guides and very engaging in holding our interest whether onboard or on land. We recommend - if possible - headsets to be provided to guests so that those lagging behind could still hear the guide. We thought the food onboard was just okay. We would have preferred staying on the island after visiting Lonesome George to shop and have lunch rather than being transferred back to the ship for lunch and then having the option to return. Our fault for not asking if we could do so, but it was not mentioned as an option. It was a once in a lifetime trip and glad we had the opportunity to see it all.

Hi Charlotte P., Thank you for your review. Typically our groups are not large, and guides wait until everyone is able to hear, but we plan to look into this. Regarding time ashore in Puerto Ayora, this is also the first time that we received a recommendation like this as passengers usually want to stay with the group and not miss an activity or, in this case, a meal! Of course, you could have elected to stay in town and arrange for your own lunch there; not an issue. You could have met up with the rest of the group when they returned to Puerto Ayora after lunch, and then joined the group for the return to the yacht in the late afternoon. Going forward we will make it clearer to passengers that they always have that option during our visit to Puerto Ayora. Thank you again for traveling with us to the Galapagos Islands! - The Quasar Expeditions' Management Team
