Quantum GearAt Quantum Gear, we understand that a failing transmission is stressful — and that trusting someone with a repair this important isn't an easy decision. That's why we focus on doing things the right way, from the first click to the day your unit arrives. We specialize in remanufactured GM automatic transmissions, with our core lineup built around the 6L80 and 6L90. Every unit goes through a complete remanufacturing process, where worn and failure-prone components are replaced and restored. Before anything ships, each transmission is tested on a dynamometer, so we know it performs the way it should — not just on paper, but under real load.We ship nationwide. Ordering is done online, and your unit is delivered by freight straight to you, wherever you are in the country.Whether you're a repair shop, a mechanic, or a driver simply trying to get your vehicle back on the road, our goal is the same: make the process clear and straightforward, and hand you a unit you can rely on. No guesswork, no runaround — just a properly remanufactured transmission and people who are ready to help when you have questions.

A well deserved 5 stars. The new transmission is way smoother at shifting than the original GM transmission doesn’t clatter and downshift like the original. Transmission was delivered right on time, customer service was responsive and my refund was issued very soon after the return shipping. Also had very reasonable price for such quality. We will definitely use Quantum again. Workhorse Mobile RV

So far so good on the trans operation. Didn't like the fact that the delivery vendor charged us $80 for liftgate service when they didn't provide lift gate service. We had to back a pickup truck up to the back of their trailer in the median of the highway in front of our shop as they said they couldn't deliver to our bay door. After some back and forth with Quantum Gear customer service, they said they would refund the cost.

Robert, thank you for the honest write-up, and I'm sorry about the delivery. Paying for a liftgate and then having to back your own truck up to the trailer in the median is not how that should have gone. We're taking this up with the carrier so they know exactly what happened at your shop, because that's not a situation we want repeated for you or anyone else. The $80 liftgate charge went back to your card on Tuesday, so it should already be showing on your statement. On your next order, just mention it and we'll put a note on the shipment for the driver so the delivery goes the way it's supposed to. Really glad the transmission itself is doing well.

The delivery service was good but they sent me a sent me a transmission out of a pickup truck for a sedan
Response from Quantum GearOct 21, 2026
Alan, thank you for being straight with us. We checked your VIN, and the pan on your unit was not the low-profile one your Caprice calls for. That's on us. I emailed you at fub*******@gmail.com a few minutes ago with how we're going to make it right, including covering the parts you had to buy and the extra work. Please check your inbox and let me know if anything there doesn't sit right.

I called and talked to a specialist about some concerns I had with purchasing the new transmission and was quickly reassured me that I would have no issues, I ordered the transmission. Quantum shipped out the next day. I received it just like they said 2 days after placing my order. It delivered to my guys and they installed it with no issues. This truck shifts so smoothly and I have already put around 1000 miles on it since it was installed. The core was picked up and I was credited with in a week. I will definitely recommend Quantum to anyone and would purchase from them again.. Thanks again.

Paul, the phone call is the part I'm happiest about. Having doubts before a purchase this size is normal, and I'm glad talking it through with us was enough to put them to rest. A thousand miles in and the truck still shifting smooth, that's the part I read twice. Thank you for the long write-up.

It was super easy to place the order, arrange shipping, and return the core. They are super fast and efficient and make sure that you're taken care of. The instructions are thorough and the seals and fluid they send with it make it basically a total package where you can simply install it and go.
Response from Quantum GearOct 19, 2026
Thank you, Ian. Fast only counts if the rest of the process holds up, and it sounds like it did for you from the order to the core going back. Really glad you felt looked after along the way.
Carissa L.
Great product and service. THe shop was super easy to deal with and the transmission looked brand new. Save a ton of money having it installed by a local rather than the dealership. Lets see how long she goes.
Response from Quantum GearOct 19, 2026
Carissa, going local instead of the dealership and still getting a unit that looks new, good call on both counts. Thank you for the kind words, and we're rooting for her right along with you.

They were easy to deal with, prompt shipping, great communication. The guys at quantum gear will take good care of you and stand behind their work.
Response from Quantum GearOct 19, 2026
Martin, standing behind the work is the part we care about most, so reading it from a customer in his own words lands harder than anything we could say about ourselves. Much obliged.
