Good luck getting PuppySpot to stand behind their so called "health guarantee". I had a puppy arrive sick. She was diagnosed wih kennel cough within 24 hours of arrival. PuppySpot's response was "sometimes puppies get sick" a patronizing and condescending response. Puppy was to have been checked out by a vet prior to travel. Kennel cough has a 1-2 week incubation period so the puppy didn't get it after 1 day of travel. Then trying to get answers on when I will be reimbursed for vet bills due to her being sick....good luck.

I bought a black German Shepherd puppy from PuppySpot. The price was horrendous but it included an airfare cost and was coming from a 20 year breeder of black Shep. I asked for a convenient ship time for my schedule, but they changed it to another dayThen they revarified ship date and it was back on my requested day. I went to the airport and waited, they finally checked and she was not to arrive until the original day they had set up. I got in touch with my puppy consiearge, who simply said sorry. That’s it for wasted time and gas! When the puppy arrived she was cute as a button, but had some sneezing. She was very slight in weight. Her appetite seemed good in the beginning, but quickly deteriorated. She was very vomity without effort, it would just fall out.She would eat her own stool and her milk bones , but was easing off eating her meals. Eventually she even ate her peepads in her cage, which sent her to the emergency hospital. Upon xraying her they came away with a diagnosis of Megaesophagus, a birth defect which makes eating very difficult. The breeder should have noticed a problem upon weaning. Also with intense bloodwork , kidney function was in question. This defect calls for feeding her in a special chair that keeps her upright. The further dilemma is that in eating there is a possibility of food entering the windpipe causing possible episodes of pneumonia. I got the puppy at 8 and a half weeks and she was barely 16 weeks old. I had fallen in love with this chosen puppy and my heart is broken. I am trying to deal with the health advocate with very little success. This has ended up being a devastating experience. How it will end up I don’t know, but there is a living being in a terrible way. For the public out there,, DO NOT DEAL WITH COMPANY!!!!!

This is the worse company i have ever delt with! We bought a dog from them almost 3 yrs ago still have not received any paperwork our dog is not purebreed like they said and this is after we had our vet and trainer tell us he looked small and each wrote letters. When we contacted the company they said they needed a dna test done so we forked out more money for a test which showes our dog is only 62.5% the breed we were promised. They have yet to return a phone call even though i call 2-3 times a week and if u r lucky enough to get ahold of an actual person all they tell u is someone will call u back. The only call i have ever received back was bc i stopped payments and then the guy called back on easter left a message saying he would be in office the next day and when i called he had the day off. Do not buy threw this company!!!!

I recently purchased a puppy only to find out the breeder already sold him. PuppySpot sent me congrats emails (5 of them), took my money, and had travel scheduled the following Friday with travel fees paid for ($399). I find out in a random call on a Sunday that the dog wasn't available. No apologies, didn't tell me when I'd receive my reimbursement only that I would be refunded. Thanks for getting me extremely excited about my new best friend only to crush me. Already bought dog toys, bed, food that they told me I needed that the puppy was already on, etc etc etc. PuppySpot is a sham, they could care less about you and that puppy.

Kevin - As a dog-loving community committed to bringing joy into homes across the country, we were disappointed we failed to meet your needs. We understand it must have been very disappointing to learn that the initial puppy you selected was no longer available. Unfortunately, the breeder had placed the selected puppy locally and failed to inform us in time to remove his profile from our website before you had made payment. We take pride in being a trusted and transparent way of finding a furry family member, which is why we contacted you and removed the puppy’s listing as soon as we became aware of the error. We care deeply for our puppies and puppy parents and truly apologize for the miscommunication on our part. In an effort to make things right, we worked with the breeder to match you with another puppy at a discounted price, but you declined our offer and asked for a full refund, which we quickly processed and refunded to your account. PuppySpot is a community and will always be here for you should you wish to work with us in the future.

If I didn’t have to hit a star I give this place a 0. This is a scam. The dog you are promised will either be a different dog or it will be sick or worse die on you.!STAY AWAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!! These people are evil sinful thugs conning people out of lots of money and abusing these poor helpless animals. Someone please close them down.

Definitely suspicious Love the "microchip story." I had a similar one - assistant scanned the microchip and last three numbers were same as the silver and black gorgeous minischanuazer that I paid for - instead a blond minschnauzer arrived at the airport with a picture of the black and silver dog on the crate. The company calls this 'a mistake." I think not. It looks very suspicious. The dog advertised was not the dog shown on video - breeder incriminated herself by sending a video with a "not so good look alike" that was at her home - referring to the dog as the name of the dog I had purchased.Referred to the blond dog as a brother. HMMMM Mixed colored liters - really? Agree with the no answering of calls. Was at the airport with their staff contacting the shipper and being told the breeder would call in three minutes. Four hours later - I got through by calling on a different phone as an interested buyer. Oh that call they pick right up! Left messages that this was a lawsuit. A client services person did finally try to resolve the situation that night and assurred me someone would get back to me in the morning. Someone got back to me - damage control. Assured me this was a terrible mistake and they would refund my money - news flash - had already filed a dispute with my credit card and would have my money returned anyway. This is not over - it is not a money issue - a poor living creature was on a plane all day - kept at the airport - and I'm not so sure was really returned to the breeder. Heartbreaking. Look carefully at the Puppy Facts - many are exactly the SAME. Take note also that Indiana - home of the breeder - ranks 5th as a state high in puppy mills. They will not give you the breeder's name; so, therefore you have to hold them as the accountable agency who has a bunch of claims that merely " sound good." Definitely needs to be investigated. Though no one spoke rudely to me - the overall conduct of the experience was rude !
