I would give this company NO stars they are crooks!!! Do not order a puppy from these people. I ordered a pug 4/15 and was told my puppy would be delivered no later then 5/20 after the puppy did not show up on 5/20 they told me 5/27 and then it was 6/3 after the puppy was not delivered on 6/3 I cancelled the puppy. I made over 16 phone calls to PuppySpot NEVER did they call me to tell me that my puppy was not arriving. After cancelling the puppy I was told by PuppySpot that I would receive a FULL refund. That was 2 weeks ago. I still have not received my refund. This company should not be in business. I have filed a dispute claim with my bank and will file a formal complaint with BBB and any other outlets that I can.

Traci - We work hard to make welcoming home a furry family member full of joy and excitement and we're disappointed to learn we failed with you. We’re very sorry to hear that your second experience with us did not exceed or at least meet the first time we matched you with your puppy. We understand how frustrating delays in travel can be and we should've done a better job communicating our travel efforts with you. Once you made us aware that you did not want to move forward with your puppy, our team quickly obliged and began to process your refund. We are happy to report your refund has been processed and a confirmation has been sent to you via email. You joined our community when we matched you with your first puppy and we will continue to be here for you if you should ever need us.

Seriously do not order from this site
Seriously do not order from this site. They do a good job comforting you when you first purchase the puppy but after that.. holy crap. I initially got a dachshund and switched to a German Shepard the supervisor who’s name is Curtis was really nice and when discussing travel plans that’s when things started to go south. I bought the silver package which is them DRIVING the pup all the way to where I’m located which is Wyoming. That was what I BOUGHT. Anyways I asked him if I can get it delivered on the plane and he said he didn’t know because the whole Covid thing. He told me that air travel might actually be cheaper and that ground transportation will take a long time because I’m from Wyoming and that no a lot Wyoming people buy from the website. He was on speaker phone and my girlfriend hears the whole conversation! Anyways the whole process of waiting for the puppy to get older sucks. They only provide one set of pictures and when u request more they just say they can’t and just to let the breeders focus on raising the puppy. I understand that 100% but you’d think that after paying 3.5k on a puppy that they manage to make the whole waiting experience better. Anyways maybe that’s just me. So time goes on and the puppy is now 7 weeks old. Once the puppy is 8 weeks old his able to travel. I tried talking to them about so we can better plan the puppy’s arrival date. I’m in the military so I need at least a week of advance To request the day off. Anyways they told me they will update me soon. They texted me 2 days PRIOR to puppy’s arrival saying his able to be transported and then I called them saying I I needed more time and they said they were gonna call me or email me about what the plan will be as far as getting the puppy to me. I also asked about what the gentleman Curtis said to me about flying my dog to me because he said it was gonna be cheaper and they told me that’s not true and that is still gonna be 799$. Which doesn’t make sense for me to drive 3 hours to the airport to pick up the puppy then to have them deliver it to my doorstep for the same price. Anyways I got no phone call that day or email so I just confirmed the travel through the app. It said “your puppy’s confirmation date is June 11th. At this point I didn’t care anymore about making the trip or getting some money back. When I get to the airport to pick up the pup... the puppy wasn’t even on the flight. I called them frustrated and they said they just moved it to Friday since at first I wasn’t able to pick up the puppy on Thursday even after I went ahead and confirmed it anyways. Why didn’t they just call me to clarify everything I don’t know. But I didn’t find out that they switched it to Friday until I called them and asked why the puppy was not on that flight. I spoke to a different supervisor and after explain the whole situation and telling him my frustration he said he put a request in for a reimbursement and when I asked how much I would get he said up to 400$!! I said okay thanks and I went on my day. I called the next day to make sure the pup wasn’t arriving on the 12 and it wasn’t. I asked about the reimbursement again because I didn’t get an email regarding the lady was confused why I would get it. The inconsistency is surreal. I got in touch with this Curtis and he denied ever telling me about the flight being cheaper and I was trying to explain to him where I was coming from as far as me going to get the puppy on the 11 and finding out his not there and why aren’t they more consistent and this guy seemed like he didn’t want to hear any of it. He just said “let’s just get to the point, what days can u pick up this puppy” and also tried to defend himself saying he never told me what he told me. He was getting mad so I went ahead and canceled. Then he told me we have to take 495$ cancellation fee and I said why would I pay that after everything. He got mad and said he’ll give me alll my money back and I was banned from buying from the website.

Pablo - We are sorry for the confusion surrounding your puppy's travel details. It has always been PuppySpot’s policy to only allow a puppy to leave his or her breeder when they are at least 8 weeks and 2 pounds, or 12 weeks-old, whichever came first. Since all PuppySpot puppies must have clearance from a licensed vet before traveling home, we can only confirm travel details with puppy parents 24-48 hours before a puppy is scheduled to travel. At the time of purchase, the puppy you selected was only 4 weeks old, which meant we had to wait at least 4 additional weeks before scheduling travel. We understand how this in-between time may feel as if we’ve stopped communicating or travel is being delayed, but please be rest assured, this is not the case. We are working hard to ensure everything is prepared for your new furry family member to travel as quickly and safely as possible. That said, we never want a puppy parent to feel they are unable to connect with us for updated info and we apologize if that was the case at any point. Regarding the travel fees for your puppy, our flat travel fee is clearly communicated to prospective puppy parents at the time of the selection of their new furry family member, as we did with you. While we understand one of our team members was trying to see if they could assist with your pup’s travel fees, due to current travel restrictions we are facing with COVID 19 we must hold firm on our set fee. We apologize if the effort on our team member's part was not clearly communicated as a request and not a promise. Unfortunately, at this time, you chose to forego your placement and asked for a full refund, in which we obliged and quickly processed. Although our relationship has unfortunately come to an end, we will always be here for you, should you ever change your mind.

Follow-Up- Reply. This is you typical answer. Interestingly enough you acknowledged you failed to respond timely. You should read your own email before you post a reply.
Follow-Up. Puppy-spot eventually responded. However, puppyspot did not respond quickly. I had to ask several times for information. What puppyspot failed to respond to is the issue of the breeder aggressively treating the puppy for gardia type infections while in their care. Puppyspot failed to address what steps they took with this breeder regarding this treatment and the issue of gardia at their location. As I stated, more than one vet provided an opinion that the breeder must have known there was a problem. Puppyspot’s lack of candor with respect to breeder information prior to the delivery of the puppy is also in my opinion a tell tail sign of a puppy mill. We love our puppy, however, she will forever suffer from this infection. She has missed out on puppy playdates and training. She is still under treatment this was so aggressive, she started treatment at the age of 11 weeks while in our care, this doesn't include the treatment she received from the breeder, she is now 9 months old. Likewise, puppyspot did not refund all of the treatment bills. Puppyspot indicated that they hadn't received them despite several emails with attachments outlining the various treatment the dog had. Once puppyspot received them they failed to reimburse for all of the treatment regarding her gardia. It had such an affect on her system that she needed prescription food and a prebiotic none of which we were reimbursed for. She currently still requires prescription food which would not be necessary but for her gardia. That is a continual monthly bill which puppyspot never paid for and never will. We continue to have bills associated with her gardia but at this point quite frankly it is not worth it dealing with puppyspot. I would never ever recommend anyone to do business with puppyspot their care of their puppy’s through the breeders is substandard and in my opinion are tell tail signs of puppy mills.

Susan - It saddens us that you feel this way. Once we received your original feedback our V.P. of Customer Experience quickly connected with you to personally address your concerns. As he mentioned in his communications with you, several of our Health team members tried connecting with you to see how they can help but were unable to reach you via phone or email. Once we received and reviewed the proper documentation from your vet, our team quickly reimbursed the approved medical fees associated with your pup's Giardia treatment. We understand how hard it can be for puppy parents when our furry friends get sick, which is why we offer and stand behind our industry-leading health guarantee. As promised, we are committed to being here for you until your puppy is feeling better and throughout your puppy parent journey!

Terrible Delivery and Unhealthy Dog
Our dog showed up without his paperwork and we only received copies of his health records. When we took him to our vet to activate the puppyspot guarantee there were discrepancies between the two exams. Our dog did not show up healthy and after two extra vet visits and three weeks in we are still having to deal and help him through his digestion issues. When we submitted the vet exam on our end to Puppyspot and noted the discrepancies we still after 2 weeks have heard nothing back from them.

Ryan - Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry for the confusion surrounding your puppy's paperwork and understand how frustrating that may have been. You did the absolute right thing by letting us know there may be an issue and our team was quick to look into it further, confirm the correct food for your puppy, and send you the correct paperwork by email. Our relationship began when your puppy arrived home and we will continue to be here as a source of support and guidance throughout your puppy parent journey!

Heartbreaking Opportunity to Raise the Bar
After many mixed messages about when and how our puppy would be delivered from many PuppySpot representatives, a precious puppy was delivered to our house extremely dehydrated, exhausted, and almost dead. According to the log provided on delivery, he had been traveling from Ohio to New Mexico for 5 days in an air-conditioned van with other dogs. We took him to our vet, who sent him to an emergency pet hospital. After waiting months for him to arrive, Moxi died in the hospital after spending only hours with us. My husband and I were devastated. PuppySpot did work with us in that they communicated consistent concern after the delivery, paid for the vet bills, and refunded the $5000 (including $700 delivery fee) we paid. We purchased the puppy during the COVID situation. I'm sure that is a factor, but nonetheless, this was heartbreaking. We purchased another dog from a family who charged 1/3 of the price and personally drove him from Arizona to us in New Mexico for a $150 fee to ensure the dog's safety and well-being. Our hope is that no other dog or family would have to endure this pain, and that our experience can be an opportunity to raise standards for animal transportation during Covid and beyond.

Lisa - Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry for any confusion surrounding your pup's travel details. It has always been PuppySpot's policy to only allow a puppy to leave his or her breeder when they are at least two pounds or 12 weeks-old, whichever came first. This policy was placed pre Covid-19 and the new travel restrictions we are currently facing. These new travel challenges have forced us to change our age and weight requirement based on the method of transportation being used to safely get your puppy home. To that end, due to unavailable routes to an airport in your area, our travel team offered to deliver your puppy via Ground Transportation. This alternative ultimately required your puppy to be 12 weeks old, in order to travel, which caused a longer waiting period. We understand the anticipation of wanting to meet your new puppy and we apologize for not better communicating this information with you. As soon as we received your feedback a member of our Customer Service team was quick to reach out to address your concerns, answer any questions you may have, and provide updated photos of your puppy. We are also excited to report that your puppy is currently en route and will be in your arms soon! Despite your frustrations early on, we're committed to being here with you until your puppy has arrived home safely and then throughout your puppy parent journey!

Beware of PuppySpot
My entire experience with PuppySpot has been terrible and frustrating and extremely upsetting. What they specify on their web site is NOT at all what I experienced. They have one set of criteria for the pup's travel on their site. Watch out!!
I discovered when my pup reached 8 weeks and 2lbs and was ready for travel, that she had to be 5lbs to travel via ground transportation. Or, 3lbs via private charter. Then when she reached the 3lbs, and I was still waiting for them to nail down a set travel date, I was told that she wasn't 3lbs, but 2.13lbs, 3oz short for travel with the private charter. I was told that the private charter travel days were only Sat and Wed. Then when I asked that we move the tentative travel date closer, to travel on Sat, since that was still a whole week for my pup to gain back the lost 3oz, I was then told that travel to my area was only available on Wed., Sat was to another area, not mine.
PuppySpot tells you that they will be with you and updating you all along the way until your pup is with you. NOT TRUE. The App and Website only gave me weekly updates of her age, which I knew. The App had the correct age/date but the website was 4 days off. At 7-8 weeks I had to request updated pics. PuppySpot told me they don't bother the breeder. But that they would make a request on my behalf. WHAT??? I never got regular updates as to how my pup was doing, her progress on weight, how she was eating, etc.
Basically PuppySpot takes a lot of money from you, ALL upfront, even travel expenses. You end up waiting and hoping that they will get your pup to you.
I had no problem waiting for my pup to reach her goals. She was 4 weeks when I bought her. So I understood she had to be 8 weeks and 2lbs to travel, because that is what is specified on their website. But truth be told, there were hidden criterias, misinformation and miscommunications all along the way.
They kept apologizing for the misinformation and miscommunications...for not updating their website, etc. It is now June 1 and I've been waiting for my pup since she was 8 weeks/2lbs on May 26-28th.
I still don't know when I will get my puppy. The last tentative date I was given was June 10th. By then she will be 10 weeks old.
Also, you'd think as your pup is approaching her goals of 8 weeks and 2lbs, the "travel team" would be working on making the travel arrangements, even if it has to be tentative initially. Not so. They don't seem to be working on anything...Certainly NOT in getting travel arrangements in the works ahead of time. Instead, they seem to wait until the 8 weeks/2lbs are right on top of them and THEN they begin looking into travel arrangements. That makes for an even LONGER waiting time to get your pup.
I am very sad. I am very frustrated. I have asked that they start looking at commercial airlines that would fly my pup to my nearest airport.
We'll see what happens next. I am scared that my pup will not be in good condition whenever I do end up getting her. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I have never worked with a 3rd party before. But I fell in love with my pup when I saw her. I have always worked directly with a reputable breeder, which has always been a great experience.
Beware of PuppySpot. I would NEVER, EVER work with them again.

Cheryl - First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for what sounds like a frustrating experience thus far. Welcoming home a furry family member should be a happy, stress-free experience and we're sorry for the confusion and causing unnecessary stress. Although it may take a little longer for your puppy to arrive, please know these changes have been made with your puppy's health and well-being in mind. With all that said, you're right, although our team works hard to communicate these changes to our customers, we should've made sure all channels throughout PuppySpot were up to date and consistent. To that end, we have taken your feedback to heart and are working on the necessary changes to ensure all information is consistent across the board. Since receiving your feedback, our management team has been in touch with you to address your concerns and provide up to date travel details for your puppy. While we are sorry for your frustrating experience thus far we want to assure you we are doing everything in our power puppy to get your puppy home to you safe, happy, and healthy. PuppySpot is a community and we're committed to being here with you until your puppy is home and then throughout your new puppy parent journey!

If you want a stress free experience, look elsewhere
Prior to purchase, the experience was great. I inquired about a pup and almost immediately, I received a phone call and an email. I thought, 'ok, this is a good sign' - even though I was very uneasy about forking over $1,000's to a website I had never heard of and for a pup I had never met. During my initial call with Toni, he told me the pup would be delivered by vehicle within ONE week of when the pup was ready, provided she meets all her milestones. He told me that even with the Covid situation, they were still able to transport and that shouldn't be a concern of mine. He also told me I would receive updates and photos along the way. At the time of purchase, the pup was 5 weeks.
My children have been relentless about getting a dog, and since typical routes of local adoption and/or reputable readers was impossible, I paid $3,700 for a lab. I'm now two weeks into purchase. I have heard nothing. There are no new pictures nor updates on the app. Nothing changed. I inquired through the chat feature about pictures and received a canned answer. Mkkk. I inquired about the delivery since I was initially told I would receive travel info the week prior to the pup arriving. Again, received a canned answer about milestones and then it said the pup would be delivered between 8 and TWELVE weeks - those are VERY different time frames. I inquired THREE more times via the chat (which is a joke - chat is supposed to be instant contact). After not hearing back for a day, I sent an email - no response, and then called, but the wait time was ridiculous. Then, I received a chat back (finally) that reads they have to go back to the original phone call and see what the sales person promised. Is this real life? Is THIS your business model?
I understand the pup needs to meet milestones and I would not expect the pup to be delivered if she is not ready. This is not about that. It's about the lack of communication. I have no clue if the pup has met milestones because the app is not updated. I was promised the moon and the stars when I had my credit card in my hand. After it was swiped, all promises faded and Puppyspot disappeared.
