As a first time puppy owner I was so…
As a first time puppy owner I was so delighted to pick out our lab/retriever and spent a lot of time educating of what would be needed. Unfortunately our puppy arrived with the deadly puppy virus called Parvo her first day which she was exposed to at the breeder 7-10 days prior and was confirmed. She almost died and we are in a slow recovery process. What I have learned after consulting two veterinary specialist is that her first vaccines were not managed properly, given too early and close together and not by a proven veterinarian rather the breeder. Puppy Spot has been slow to act in terms of their health guarantee and the expensive reimbursements due to her highly specialized medical care not to mention the high emotional toll on all of us. I have learned they have no real way to guarantee the health of the puppies and their care before you receive them which had been heartbreaking and incredibly distressful. They put all the work on you to prove your new beloved puppy is ill which is additionally distressful. If my puppy survives it will NOT be because of Puppy Stop and no proven health guarantee whatsoever. I would encourage anyone thinking of using this organization to consider other options to ensure the delivery of a healthy and life long member of your family. Don’t go through this heartbreak.

While we know that dealing with a puppy's issues as a first time puppy owner can be difficult, we also have been assisting Cindy with her concerns every step of the way. Her puppy's vaccinations were indeed administered per AAHA guidelines under the vaccination program outlined by the breeder's vet. And while it has been difficult with her puppy's illness, we have supported Cindy and her family through each step. Part of our need for diagnostic documentation is to allow for our medical staff to review the breeder from where Cindy got their puppy. This is part of our ongoing evaluation of all our breeders and this documentation is critical for that program. As for her puppy's illness, this is precisely why our Health Guarantee requires vet visits both before travel from their breeder and once home with their family. They are young, and sometimes illness can occur. These vet visits allow for immediate medical attention where needed and our follow up support via our Health Guarantee. We continue to assist Cindy, her puppy and her family per that Guarantee.
