During my dealings with Puppy Spot, some were very good, some not. Most had to do with financial dealings where I was promised a reduction on my next pet selection after the previous one failed. I cannot find theses three ($600) adjustments anywhere. One such adjujstment was to reduce the cost of the dog I ended up with by the higher amount of the dog didn't get to have.
Was I getting bought off??? I wondered. Anyway, I got my dog Baby ( Bonnie) and when she arrived from an all day travel from Idoho to Texas, to Kingwood, Texas, to my home iin Houston, she was very ill. The porter who brought her took a picture of me hoilding her and she should have this if you follow up on this evaluation. I fed her and have her water and she seemed better until th next day when she got sick again. I took her to the ER and waited four hours in the blazing Texas sun. She was better after Subq, fluids, IV antibiotics, etc, (Cost to me $260). The next day I again took her to the vet (Cost to me $171)
With all of the care, she now flourishes. But, she was near death. I can send you whatever you want, but I would appreciated it if the discounts the sakemen (Jordon McMullen and Jeff Cole. They were very nice until the final sale and then they took a powder. And I want to be reimbursed for the medical expenses I incurred for a despirately ill pup. Also, someone needs to look into this incident with Baby so other dogs don't get this sick and preventtive measures are put into place.
P.S. The air carier was broken the dog had NO protective barrier throughout the flight and car drive. Since I paid for it, I was promisied a refund.
Since the salesmen have gone away, I need someone to advocate for me with all of the above. I want what I was promised during the negotiations with Jordan and Jeff and the other expenses noted above.

We are happy to report that we were able to connect with MaryKay and resolve her financial concerns. We also were able to discuss her health questions and remain available to discuss further once we have received the documents discussed at that time. We are most happy to hear that her puppy is doing great.

Beware...Not a good organization
We found a puppy we wanted to add to our family on puppy spot in late June 2022. We reached out to them and they were quick to respond. We quickly learned the process they conduct for all dogs, and said there would be a $900 transit fee on top of the $3k fee of the dog. They said there was a truck that would bring our dog to us and that the dog was not allowed out of the truck...even if over night travel was required. We asked that we pick up the puppy instead, and they ghosted us. We emailed them multiple times, left voice messages with them and never received a response. Seemed they didn't want to talk to us, unless they could put this pup on a truck and charge us the $900 extra fee. We called again, and asked if we could pick the dog up...they said no. So then we said, can we drive to the same city, and make the trip very short, they said they would call us back after checking with a supervisor, but they never called us back. I was confused, don't they want to sell this dog? Maybe the dog wasn't real in the first place? It was just frustrating and weird. We were pretty emotionally invested at this point too, so we didn't know what to think.
Then I did a search on craigslist and found the exact puppy!!! The breeder wasn't in Northern California, but only a short 2 hour drive from us here in Southern California. She charged us only $1,100 for the dog, not the $3,900 puppy spot wanted. She was great to work with, very caring and was happy to send us progress pictures up until the dog was 8 weeks of age and had his shots and deworming.
Puppy spot doesn't care about dogs. They probably don't care about working with good breeders either. They only care about keeping you as far away from the breeders as possible, and making the most money they can. Don't do business with them, we are so glad we didn't. You should have access to the breeder. Access to see a current photo or video. Ask to have the breeder put your name on a piece of paper next to the dog to verify its real. Our breeder had no problem with this, but puppy spot did. Try craiglist, or facebook to find local breeders and just don't fall for puppy spot and their weird sales tactics.

We are sorry that your experience in trying to get a puppy with us did not going according to your expectations. We very much are a community of dog lovers who believe that every family is better with a dog in it. We are glad you were able to find a puppy to add to your home even if it was not with us.

Awful company.
We confirmed the purchase with Jaime for a puppy via E-mail & were told it was placed on reserve. He said prior to purchasing we have to conduct an interview, & he scheduled it for 1:00 the next day. When we called in, he said the puppy was purchased by someone else. When connected with a manager, they gave no solutions, & said that they will coach their salespeople better. Awful company.

We regret that this was your experience with PuppySpot. At times, there are different families looking at the same puppy and reservations of who is first in line can be disappointing to learn about. While we wish you found a puppy with PuppySpot, we hope that you found one to join your family.

DO NOT SHOP HERE
Puppyspot is terrible. Terrible customer service and satisfaction. My partner and I spent the whole day communicating with a sales rep about a particular puppy. We communicated with the sales rep we wanted the puppy. The sales associate put the puppy on reserve for us. We were scheduled for an interview the next day. We were told we had to pass the interview in order to purchase the dog. Mind you, we blindly accepted the fact that we were "not allowed" to speak with the breeders of the dog, found out more information about the puppy or the puppy's parent history. We weren't allowed to pick up the dog, that it had to be shipped for the extra $700.
The next day, IN OUR INTERVIEW, we are informed that the puppy had been sold. They sold the puppy that we had reserved and started the process on to someone else. Later to find out the family who bought the dog, did not have their interview yet and that they were going to finance the dog.
We asked to speak with the manager and he was utterly useless. He told us there was no way we were getting that dog, even after we passed our interview offered cash and a higher premium for the dog.
Looking further into this company, there are terrible reviews and several people with just as awful experiences. They rebranded the company to hide all of this malevolent activity and poor treatment of their consumers and animals. I feel so sorry for the poor puppies but DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!

AVOID AT ALL COST!!
AVOID AT ALL COST!!! Against all better judgement, I fell in love with a great dane puppy on their site and purchased her a month ago, she was already 14 weeks old. I've always bought onsite from breeders directly and I knew better than this. It was a TOTAL CLUSTER. 3 weeks after my purchase they informed me she has Entropion on the lower eyelids, which my vet says requires two corrective surgeries under general anesthesia (probably $2k). Puppyspot would not discount my $2700 purchase price $1! AND after I had already paid another $900 to have her flown to my local airport and driven the last 40 miles... they tell me she will now be driven the whole way along with a bunch of other puppies making stops and it would take 48 hours. I did get a full refund, but avoid these tools at all costs. Do your homework and find a local breeder with puppies you can play with and fall in love with and take right home.

Part of working with puppies means that sometimes we discover that there are health issues present. Puppies are living breathing creatures and sometimes these issues come up. In fact, over the life time of owning a puppy, this is all but guaranteed to happen. This is why we offer our Health Guarantee and require all our puppies to have a Nose-To-Tail exam prior to travelling home. Because we believe in full disclosure of those issues and to allow customers like yourselves to change your mind on the purchase and receive a full refund. While we are sad that this didn't work out for your family, we hope that that you have since found a puppy to come home to you.

DO NOT TRUST PUPPYSPOT
My experience with PuppySpot has been a nightmare. The sales woman who sold us our dog lied to us about the entire transportation process. We asked if we could pick our puppy up instead of having him shipped to us (which costs $900) and she said that was not allowed. We later found out, after paying that $900 shipping fee, that we could have actually picked him up at a far lesser cost. In addition to this lie, she told us that we would have our travel date confirmed within 7-10 days of our purchase. Another lie. Our puppy is finally coming to us tomorrow, but we did not get this date confirmed until 6/11. That is one week prior to when he is arriving. We placed our order on 5/2, so it took far longer than 7-10 business days to get this travel date. Before this date was confirmed, PuppySpot told us we would get him either today (6/17) or tomorrow (6/18), so my boyfriend and I both took off work today and tomorrow in preparation. Well, we finally go in contact with the driver who will be delivering our puppy to us today, and he informed us that we will be receiving our puppy either tomorrow night (8:00pm or later) or Saturday morning. So again, the "confirmed" travel date was not even accurate. My boyfriend and I both took two days off of work, using vacation days that we will not get back, for absolutely nothing. When we called PuppySpot to complain about all of this, all they did was make excuses for themselves. They went as far as to tell us we should expect that there may be delays, so we really have no right to be upset. When I complained about being lied to by our sales woman, one of the supervisors there even had the nerve to tell me that of course their sales people aren't going to tell you that there may be delays and that your "confirmed" travel date is actually subject to change because that would "scare people away". This is a shady, unethical business that just wants to take your money and do and say whatever they can to get it. This was a nearly $8,000 purchase, $900 of that being for their travel services. My boyfriend works in the transportation industry too, so he knows that it doesn't cost any more than $350 at the very most to drive our dog from Ohio to Illinois. That's a $550 profit PuppySpot is making on the travel package alone, and they have done none of the things they promised us initially in regards to this travel package. We requested a refund for the portion of the travel package they profited off of since what they sold us on was a blatant lie and not at all as promised. They only agreed to refund us $110. We will not get these vacation days back that we wasted due to their poor communication, disorganization, and dishonesty. We will not get any of the time or energy back that we wasted calling and emailing them trying to find out any information on when our puppy is coming to us because they did not reach out to us once on their own. We had to hassle them just to find out when our puppy would get to us. I will never go through PuppySpot again and I advise everyone else to do the same. They are a dishonest, shady company who will screw you over once they have your money (a lot of your money I might add), then make excuses for themselves and blame you afterwards, telling you that you should have expected something like this to possibly happen even though that goes directly against what they said when they sold us on this puppy.

We'd like to report that Ms Bowe and a member of our leadership team had lengthy conversation about her experience and a resolution was found to address her concerns. Our travel dates are meant to be tentative on purpose as we cannot get a final confirmed date until each puppy has their Nose-To-Tail exam which happens within 5 days of proposed travel. This is because puppies are fast growing babies and having a vet visit as close to travel home - both before and after that travel - allows for the discovery of any new health issues that may require attention. This means setting confirmed dates far in advance is not what we do. We plan for travel, but also plan for that travel to be changed should the health and well-being of the puppy warrant a change in plans. While this is what we do with every puppy, sometimes the changes can present challenges to our new puppy families that are difficult to accommodate. We are glad to have had the opportunity to discuss this with Ms Bowe and are happy that her puppy is home and well.

Outsourced Call Center
PuppySpot is a pleasure to deal with during the purchasing portion of the process, wonderful sales people. However, once Puppyspot has collected the payment, your local friends are unable to resolve any issues for you and your calls are forwarded to a call center in the Philippines. Obviously, none of the issues were resolved by the call center in fact they caused more confusion. Their responses are all scripted and useless, for this reason I will never do business with PuppySpot again.

Shady business, no knowledge of these puppies
After putting a deposit on a puppy from Puppy Spot without any prior knowledge of how to ethically adopt a (healthy) dog, we ran into red flags with the process and started digging. What we found is that Puppy Spot has changed its name from Purebred Breeders LLC, and rebranded itself after a series of lawsuits and bad press.
From the Humane Society Blog, August 22, 2017:
“Our investigation of Purebred Breeders LLC (now called Puppy Spot) was featured on the Today Show in 2011, after we reported that the site had approximately 800 different web urls, and misled consumers into thinking they were buying from small, local breeders; instead, many consumers ended up with sick puppies from questionable sellers.”
Our personal experience involved very shady customer service reps who couldn’t answer any questions about our dog’s lineage or the breeder’s licensing, how Puppy Spot inspects and approves breeders, what type of breeding facility he comes from, etc. They turned defensive and angry when we pushed for answers. We did some online sleuthing and found the breeder ourselves and got in touch directly - but Puppy Spot does everything possible to prevent that happening.
The dogs are marked up by an insane margin. We paid $3,000 for our dachshund, which I now realize is very high even for show breeders. Our breeder told us she got less than $1,000 from Puppy Spot for that sale. To make matters worse, Puppy Spot tried to charge us a delivery fee after promising that the fee would be waived since we were traveling to pick up the puppy ourselves. They changed their tune afterwards, saying that the delivery fee covers travel papers. (He did not come with any kind of travel papers - just the standard vet check forms that all dogs come with).
Puppy spot preys on people who don’t know what questions to ask. Their breeder partners are not legitimate. Their customer service agents can’t answer the most basic questions, and repeat phrases like “I can assure you our breeders are required to meet the highest standards.” They work on commission and want your money. What I’ve learned since, is that a reputable breeder will have no problem answering your questions. Furthermore, a reputable breeder won’t need to use a third party broker site like Puppy Spot. I hope anyone reading this learns from our experience.
Read the reviews on TrustLink, Consumer Reports, TrustPilot, and Better Business Bureau, of both Puppy Spot and Purebred Breeders LLC. The cumulative bad experiences are there for all to see. Don’t write them off.

We have tried to reach out to Rebecca to discuss her concerns on numerous occasions and have yet to have our inquires returned. We look forward to being able to discuss her concerns. We have a robust breeder program aligned with USDA standards with the assistance of our Scientific Advisory Board and our partnership with American Humane. These and other best practices ensure our No Puppy Mill Promise We also are the only place where new puppy owners have the comfort of a 10 year Health Guarantee once their puppy comes home. Information about of all of these programs and more is available at our website and as stated above, we very much hope to be able to discuss with Rebecca should she desire.
