Puppyspot a scam
Puppyspot a scam? They sent us a different dog than we ordered. It’s 100% clear it’s a different dog. Online, “Brooke” is a brindle in color, with mostly dark in face and head area. The dog we got has much lighter coloring. Can’t get ahold of anyone now, surprise surprise, they got our money. Are they scammers or just completely incompetent? So nice on the phone when talking to us about the purchase, after that it was a bombardment of (overseas?) sales calls, which makes this whole thing seem more and more like a scam. I seriously doubt this review makes it online, but if somehow it does, I challenge someone at Puppyspot to call me back Update 6/22/22 = The reply from Puppyspot below is true ONLY in that they responded, and after 2 weeks we have no other response other than they are looking into it. ITS A DIFFERENT DOG!!! We have the pics from the original advertisement and the day the different dog arrived. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME DOG, there is no color variation or change due to age or any other excuse you want to make up. WE SENT YOU PICS OF BOTH DOGS, THEY ARE CLEARLY DIFFERENT, THERE IS NO DEBATING THAT. Thank you for confirming that you are more interested in BS'g your way through this than to admit you screwed up our order. We provided you complete info on the mistake = screen shots of the dog we ordered, with her name and puppy #, so you can not tell us it was another dog The pics of the dog received are from the day we got her. We received the dog 2 weeks after ordering her. The difference in both shape of the face and coloring are vastly different. As stated, the dog we ordered had much different coloring (more color, particularly on & around the face, with much more brown and black on the face, and body). We continue to await your response Update 6/24/22 = We took our dog to the vet and had her chip read. This chip matches the puppy number provided by Puppyspot. No surprise to us, Puppyspot either changed it after the fact, or they never had the correct dog matched up to the picture in the first place, or just scammed us. We waited literally 2+ years to find the color and size dog we wanted. We were in no hurry, and when we found this dog she looked exactly what we were looking for. To get a different dog is unbelievable. If I could post the comparison pics I would, and there would be no debate its not the same dog we saw online, called Puppyspot about, and purchased. The purchase happened immediately, over the phone, that very night we found the dog. So, Puppyspot, we have detailed what happened, provided you all the info, and continue to wonder what you will do about it. Please let us know FYI, Puppyspot only responded to us after the initial posting. Then again when I replied to their response, on 6/22. A manager called us to ask for us to send the info/pics directly to her, which we did. Now waiting for something other than a general, dismissive response. Saying our dog evolved in color is absolutely insulting. I'm sure that was a generic response, so now want a specific, substantial response to our complaint. Please.

A member of our management team has indeed been able to connect with the Johnson family to discuss their concerns about having received a dog different from what they purchased. Puppies often do change colors as they grow out their coats and this can be disconcerting to experience. This can be quite common with both Maltese and Shih Tzu, the two breeds combined for the Johnson's puppy. We hope to assist the Johnsons with this process as well as being able to confirm the microchip id that came with their puppy matches with the records provided. This conversation is now underway.
