We love our dog however the communication from PuppySpot completely stopped once we paid for her. They never answer the phone and messages weren’t returned. Their chat on their website is also unattended fyi.

Unfortunately, we did not do a good job of communication with you after you had selected your puppy. We have been experience some challenges due to ongoing transportation issues and this has resulted in instances of poor service for our customers. We are truly sorry with how this impacted you. However, we are glad to hear how much you love your new family member. We wish you all the best.

Think Twice before using PuppySpot
Everything you’ve read about PuppySpot being horrible at communication is absolutely true. Waiting for hours to speak to a human being (aka Puppy Manager-TRUE, they lie to you again and again and again- TRUE, NEVER call you back or respond to emails, when they say they will - TRUE. I played by their rules. I spent over 10 hours on the phone yesterday trying to contact them. I called first and was told there were 18 people ahead of me to try the chat feature on the app (I was not given the option to give my name and be called back). I then tried the chat feature and was informed there were no Puppy Managers available. I then tried to call back and was told there were 39 people ahead of me and I could now have someone call me back and I would not lose my place in the que (NOT TRUE!). After waiting another 8 hours I tried calling again and the recording suggested I send an email. Which I did. (I still have not heard back from them on that.) Finally, I called again this morning, and waited over 2 hours to get to a human being that was RUDE. I have now spoke with 2 people at PuppySpot, both have been incredibly rude and the first one lied to me about pretty much everything. Both of them continuously interupted me mid sentence. When I spoke with the salesperson, the first question I asked was if they had any breeders for Goldens in CA? I was interested in picking up the dog since we were in the middle of a huge heat wave. She told me and I quote “There are NO good breeders, in CA, I would be really careful buying a dog bred there. All the good breeders are in the mid-west”. To alleviate my concern about the heat she told me the puppy would not be ready to ship for at least 2 weeks, from his “available” date, of September 8, 2022. We are on the West Coast it was 107 degrees yesterday. I also have a medical treatment the following week. She said there was no way he would be ready, and if he was, we could push out the date. The person I spoke to today, I first explained to her, I got a message saying the date was set, but when I clicked on it the app crashed. Her response was , “Oh yeah, we know the app isn’t working”, someone would have called you to tell you, he’s scheduled to be there on the 14th. That’s in 6 days and we are in the middle of huge heat wave. I told her what I told the salesperson and she said if we had to reschedule they would CHARGE ME A HOLDING FEE!! What? I was told the dog would not be ready to ship until the 22nd. Why would I be charged a holding fee? Why would you ship a dog in over 100 degree weather? So. I am now sitting here wondering if I’m going to get the puppy I’ve already fallen in love with.
My other concern is the “PuppySpot Promise” regarding their Breeder’s Standards. They have a huge list of standards. I truly do not see how they can possibly carry out such a complex program, if they cannot staff the phone lines, contact clients, and show some semblance of being polite.

As discussed on the phone when we connected about this review, we apologize for your experience. We hope that you have since been able to find a puppy to welcome into your home and we wish you many wonderful years together.

Is this a scam?
This is actually the first negative review I have ever left, but I feel obligated to after my experience.
To kick off the frustration, they sold the first dog I paid for out from under my nose. They said it was an issue with the system. I said understandable and selected a second dog of the same breed.
I have yet to receive the dog I paid for or really any communication about him since that first call.
The initial delivery they had scheduled they had the puppy going to the wrong city.
The second delivery they had scheduled, I was informed by the chaperone (on my way to pick him up) that PuppySpot had cancelled the delivery the night before and declined to communicate this with me.
I have had no communication since the initial phone call I had with my “Puppy Manager” after I paid for the dog, despite calling them numerous time, leaving 4 voicemails and sending 4 emails.
I would think this was a scam at this point, except for all the reviews I’ve seen about puppies being delivered. I have to chalk this up to negligence, incompetence or perhaps both.
If PuppySpot reads these, please just return my calls so we can get this straightened out and my dog delivered. Communication and transparency are key when it comes to customer service - do better.

We hope that once your puppy arrived Sept 6th, that you have begun a wonderful life together. We do apologize for the communication struggles you faced as his travel was changed a number of times, due to travel industry issues. We do wish we'd been able to communicate that to you faster and alleviate your concerns.

Be a bit cautious
i love my baby Maltese Joy. She is truly my joy, but I would like for those of you who are using transport by automobile such as I as Ilive in AZ and it is too hot for puppies to fly w/o spending more money. When I went to pick up my Joy, I started to walk up to the van she arrived in, and I could smell the stench coming from the side of the van before I even got close enough to see what was in it. The smell of wet dog, dog urine and feces were strong enough to take my breath away. It was not only unhealthy for the drivers to be in but what about the other few dogs that were left in there to be picked up. Just be aware please. Also, last thing I was always on hold waiting to be helped which would take hours. I even tried the keep my place in line by dialing the option given, and your place will be kept and they will call you back. That didn't work no one ever called me back. I will not recommend Puppy spot to my friends

I’m extremely frustrated with this…
I’m extremely frustrated with this site. I have used puppy spot before and we got a dog and had a great experience. However, this time around we’re not getting responses regarding when our dog is coming. I’ve reached out countless times through the messenger feature, sent multiple emails and phone calls that go unanswered. My husband and I would like to know when our dog is coming and we keep getting different information every time we actually speak to someone. It seems that there is not communication with the staff and it seems everything is very disorganized. I truly hope they improve their customer service and communication with paying customers. Puppy spot is not cheap by any means, so if I’m paying so much for quality I expect quality and we’re given no updates whatsoever. I was really looking forward to the process since last time it was a breeze, but I’m very disappointed at this point.

Please explain to my 11 year old why her dog is not coming
We purchased a bernedoodle through PuppySpot. We waited 4 weeks for the puppy to be old enough for travel, received updates that the puppy cleared their vet check and even had confirmed flight arrangements. The day before the dog was supposed to arrive we were contacted by PuppySpot and notified that the breeder had sold the dog to another party. I would love for someone from PuppySpot to call my 11 year old daughter and explain to her why her dog is not coming. PuppySpot SUCKS

Most Cold and Uncaring Customer Service Ever
My name is Scott and we had a horrible customer experience in trying to purchase a dog from PuppySpot.
We recently had to put down our dog Harry two months ago and all of us were grief stricken. And my son has autism so he was even more impacted.
After a long search, we finally found the perfect dog Bandit. Your customer service rep told me that she put Bandit on hold and was ready to take payment today. She writes, "What is your billing address so we can invoice you?"
Then out of nowhere she texted me and Bandit was bought online. We were so upset and distraught, especially my son, and the only excuse Ashley could provide is "that holds are only for two hours".
My reply is YOU NEVER TOLD US THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION If we had known, we would have purchased Bandit right then and there.
This has to be the worst most uncaring and incompetent customer service I have even had especially under the circumstances.

If i could put negative stars i would
If i could put negative stars i would. per the breeder to drive out of their way to meet us in which they r only willing to go within 50 miles of their location per puppyspots deal, apparently. Again, very upset, frustrated and beyond mad, puppyspot would NOT give back the full travel fees and we were told per a supervisor that even the $99 down payment would be refunded in which still has yet to be put back onto my card and its now another 3 weeks later. Ended up reluctantly taking the $499 back, still waiting on the $99, and rented a van to drive down and get the puppy. Spoke to the breeder and much to our surprise, they had begun to think we didnt want him and per what puppyspot was informing them of with how WE kept changing dates (NOT TRUE) and waiting on us for travel approvals. Again NOT TRUE. I was grateful in getting the breeders info once we got a date that worked out for the breeder and us after the multiple weeks of being told different stuff from puppyspot. They, just as us, upon finally connecting with them, were both told very different stories to have made us all wondering about the future of said puppy. They themselves were very disappointed, mad, frustrated and asking how and why as we were. Eventually we finally got our new addition andbwe do love him and we're gratful for finally having been able to connect with the breeder directly instead of puppyspot. For the amount of money puppyspot asks for, this is NOT worth it! They refuse to reimburse any further money for all of this terrible experience, havent even refunded the $99 back as its been 4 weeks since that statement from a supervisor specifically or willing to drop the amount of the purchase of the pup as a good will intent to right such a horribly wrong deception and mislead of multiple misinformation per every puppyspot individual we spoke to and emailed on so many various occasions. Our puppy is great, loving, and a blessing to have now, finally, and we're in contactvwith the breeder giving them updates on him. However going thru this specific company is outrageously awful and i suggest if u want a purebred pup of whatever breed, google and look up those directly to purchase and add the new additon to ur family directly from a breeder. I will not suggest this company to anyone nor ever go thru them again. Do ur research and go with another for ur new additon. Thank u to the breeder but to this company, ur awful. Hope u enjoy this feedback.
