I love our puppy more than anything. However, she was delivered in horrible condition. She came out of a van with probably 40 or 50 crates stacked on top of one another and she was covered in her own urine. The driver insisted we weren't allowed to take photos. We have had her for several weeks now and we are working slowly on her skittish-ness. She is terrified of people - and it seems to me she was mistreated before we got her. I dont know for sure but my gut tells me she came from a puppy mill.

Delivered unhealthy puppy. Right off the plain the puppy smelled sick. And had a mild cough. She was pooping blood and diarrhea. She was high energy but her guts were a mess and the smell was so bad even after a bath. After a vet evaluation there was concern of parvo. Over the first week she was treated for Giardia and her cough worsened and eventually treated for kennel cough. Puppyspot is claiming no guilt and “puppy’s just get sick.” Nevermind their “health guarantee” she arrived sick and the vet bills are at $700 in the first 2 weeks already. I also researched her breeder and found he is a known high volume breeder in Ohio that can have up to 250 puppies at a time with other people at the same address who can have the same amount of puppies. Puppyspot tells me “that’s not a puppy mill” PuppySpot is an absolute SCAM. We love our puppy and she will get better, we just wish her start with us wasn’t so dramatic and she didn’t have to get so sick.

Except from the initial conversation with Sarah, my puppy spot experience was terrible. Communication was terrible. The app does not work! The chat feature is a joke, no one answered ever. Had to scream to get photo updates.

I found a Bernadoodle on PuppySpot. I was told by Alan that he was 4 1/2s months old (this was correct) that he weighed 30 lbs and the breeder was “working on house training him” -all lies. He was flown to Florida, but all I was given was his ailrline, flight #, etc. No one mentioned Air Cargo. So I parked, went to the terminal, etc only to be told he was 9 miles away at cargo building. We got his crate in the car and I opened the crate to give him water and he flew out, literally. The collar I brought was too small as he weighed 40 lbs! This terrified huge puppy ran around the terminal terrified- I actually considered leaving him there. Finally corralled him, adjusted the collar & got him home, dragging him in the house. He was terrified of the crate I bought- 40lbs of struggle trying to get him in it, pee and diarrhea everywhere. I called PuppySpot- they said to take it up with the breeder. Breeder told me he was a kennel dog, never trained at all and suggested I take him to puppy class. Ended up tying him to a table (felt like chaining him outside). First vet visit (40 lbs of puppy terrified to get in the blazer- I had to sit on him to calm him down) and find out he has parasites. My suggestion: go to the nearest pet store and buy a puppy mill puppy (mine certainly is) to at least meet him. Better yet, go to a shelter.

I found a dog that was already 7 months old. When I spoke to the person from Puppyspot, I was told that I would have him in two weeks. He also said that I would get weekly photo updates. And he told me that my dog was “living inside a house with a family.” After three weeks of not getting any photo updates or hearing from Puppyspot, I called. The woman who answered couldn’t tell me anything. I told her that I would go pick up the dog myself. She said that, I cannot do that. I told her if it was because of the money for the travel costs, that they could keep it. I said, I just wanted to get my dog. She said that it was not possible, but could not give me any reason why. I asked for a photo update. She said that I would get one. I never did. In the fourth week I was sent an email that I could go pick up my dog at an airport two hours away. They had originally told me that I would pick up my dog at an airport 20 minutes away from my house. But I didn’t care because I just wanted to get my dog. I never received any photo updates. So even on the morning while I was driving to pick up my dog, I wasn’t sure if I would actually be getting a dog and thought the entire thing could be a scam. I arrived at the airport and watched as they unloaded about 45 crates into about 5 minivans. They called out my name and handed me a small and very terrified wet dog, I brought the dog into my car and he didn’t move. He was frozen in fear. The entire two hour drive home, he did not move. I decided that I must get him to the vet right away. I was so scared for him. He was checked by our vet and was completely healthy. When he was home and more settled, it became clear that he had not been around people. He was petrified of noises, people, and had no idea how to walk on a leach. The only thing that made him comfortable was my other dog. I’ve had him for 3 months now and he is doing so much better. But he still so fearful of people. We will get him through this and he will learn to trust people. But there is no way my dog was living with a family and had people caring for him! I would never use Puppyspot again. They are dishonest and uncaring about the dogs they sell or the people they sell them to!

My Shiba Inu puppy arrived to me scarred and nervous from everything. Either he was keep isolated outdoors without recommended activities or was abused… it’s been almost a year and he’s completely the same, I haven’t heard him bark once. His siblings were adopted early but my puppy wasn’t adopted until 4 months. If you’re considering adopting a puppy from this service, please drill them and the breeder. The red flag should have been when they were reluctant to provide information about the puppy until after purchase and even then the info provided was lack luster. I love my puppy but I may put him up for adoption, it has not been going well. UPDATE: PuppySpot called me after this review and insinuated that it is my fault for the puppies behavior. He is not trainable due to this behavior that the puppy has shown from the 1st day he arrived in my care. He doesn't respond to treats and has no motivation to do anything!!! Wish I would have never used this service! (FYI he wasn't treated for heart worms either, on their website it states he should've received it but when I asked about it, the answer was that the breeder elected not to do it he, was 4 months when I got him.) It appears he had no/minimal human contact for the first 4 months which led to this behavior. I love the puppy because it appears he was from a mill but damn I wish I didn't waste my money or time. So deceitful

I was guaranteed a puppy that was not from a puppy mill. Based on the paperwork I received with my puppy, and my personal vet, our puppy was without question from a puppy mill. Very disappointing. Puppy was scared to death when I picked her up and driver from the mill appeared to be not even slightly interested in the well being of our puppy. Our pup definitely had not had any previous human contact. I feel very deceived and at the same time grateful that our puppy ended up in our home where she will be cared for and loved. Puppyspot is NOT what they claim to be. Be careful people!

One of the worst experiences as a customer I have had. Totally on Puppyspot, less so the breeder. We ordered the home delivery option. We waited 2 weeks for any update on shipping info with only canned responses returned. Finally we get an email telling us we needed to pickup our puppy at The Home Depot in Staten Island in 2 days which is two hours away from where we live on Long Island. (after asking for clarification as the original email did not even have a date). I emailed back advising of the error as we had purchased home delivery. They emailed back that home delivery wasn't an option and they'll be refunding the difference. No apology and giving me short notice that I would now need to take an entire day off of work last minute to get my puppy. This is after home delivery was confirmed and I spent two weeks reaching out for updates. Originally the only refund they wanted to offer was for the difference, which I had to advise the rep she had to give otherwise it would have been theft as well. My file was reviewed by a "Manager" where a credit of $100.00 was given for changing my delivery location from my porch to the two hour away home depot parking lot. This was after an entire day of back and forth asking them how they can confirm orders, then not even acknowledge they made an error nor make any attempt at making THEIR error right. All I wanted was the home delivery I purchased or a closer pickup point based on the price we paid for transport. I then take a day off of work as they said in their email the pickup time was noon. We then get a text the day before pickup time from the transport company (Route 62 Pet Transport) advising us the pickup time is 830PM. When we asked why the time changed we were told that Puppyspot should not have given any time out as they do not control Route 62 travel or stops. So now took off of work for no reason thanks to puppyspot. Finally we get our puppy (route 62 people were great, really nice and right where they said they'd be) and hes got a slight eye infection. Not the end of the world and probably likely based on travel with other puppies. We couldn't get an appointment at his vet for a few days so we went to a different vet for urgent care to get him eyedrops and then summitted the bill to pupyspot as their "Promise" says. After about 10 days or so they decided to reimburse for the drops, but not the office visit for seeing the vet. So after all the nonsense then them delivering a sick puppy that I had to bring to an extra vet visit due to their causing illness they still could not do the right thing to even take care of the vet bill. By far have never been so disgusted with how I was treated as a customer. Puppy is amazing, love him to pieces and glad we got him. But so sorry for giving these people a dollar of my money. There are better people to buy from who actually care about doing the right thing.
