Love the Puppy
The availability of puppies - breeders who trust them and make their puppies available- is excellent. The puppy I acquired is just as described and I consider myself very lucky to have exactly the puppy I wanted. There are some areas that for the buyer are problematic to me: 1) You are not allowed to know much about the breeder, how many litters they have produced, or contact folks as references to past litters. They say that is to protect the breeder from unwanted interruptions with contacts. I consider it a major drawback. Once I had made a deposit the puppy manager did set up a conference call with the breeder and I was able to ask all my questions. I learned the breeder really doesn't like marketing puppies directly and had worked successfully with puppy spot for 10 years. Confidence building. I should have been an option for me to speak with him before I had to put up a non refundable deposit to assure me in my decision making. 2) there is so much effort to get you to spend additional dollars with them - a puppy pac, are just two a travel package. 3) I wanted to pick up the puppy myself. the travel coordination group tried to persuade me against that over and over by offering alternation solutions at different prices. I told them I just did not want to subject my puppy to multiple plane rides in the winter where planes run the risk of being delayed. I wanted to see the puppy for myself and deal with whatever delays occurred. After accepting that I would go get the puppy, they kept confusing the details. Finally the breeder and I could speak to each other directly by cell and work out all details. The breeder was wonderful in meeting me. 4) the wording of the health guarantees and return of deposits and payments is extremely complex as to what constitutes refunds or replacements. Be sure you read them thoroughly I have a wonderful puppy. I am very lucky.
